"Book Of Eli",Denzel Washington,Gary Oldman, set in the future with Washington's character cutting everybody into ribbons that crosses his path, that's about the plot in a nutshell with Gary Oldman tearing the scenery to bits to keep up.

If you like violent films 8/10 if you don't about 3/10.

    frozen river, good show 7/10

wall street (1987) good show, looking forward to the second part thats coming out, 8/10

rewatched true lies, arnie and cameron special, must say it has aged very well, 9/10 ( the jamie lee curtis dance that worth at least 2 points )
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Saw Seraphim Falls the other day on RTE, just to see what Brosnan and Neeson woud be like in a American Western. Was pleasantly surprised, not much dialogue as u wud expect in a movie like this, well shot and nice little story. Brosnan seems to be getting better as he ages................

I saw it during it's remarkably brief run in the cinemas here. I thought it went a bit odd towards the end with some mystical elements, but it's quite good.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox : Watched it last night, absolutely loved it. Great animation, great casting, Clooney is spot on as Mr. Fox. Pretty much flawless!

Saw "Get him to the Greek" today. Very funny in parts, but the fat yank jewish lad is just a bit overdone at this stage. Russell Brand is hilarious at times and plays the part very well. Colm Meaney has a very funny cameo, and Puff Daddy is the best in show - taking the absolute p out of himself and made the movie. It was a ripped copy and unfortunately from an american cinema, so they laughed at the gross out parts (like superbad etc), and some of the nuances, which were laugh out loud funny, were treated with silence. Glad I didn't shell out a few euros to see it in the cinema. 5/10

I saw Predators and Shrek last week in the cinema. I liked both. Predators had plenty of action, not overstated and a good enough cast especially Adrien Brody, he'd be good to do more action films, the ending was an anti-climax but reasonable.
I quite enjoyed Shrek, the comedy wasn't elaborate and the story was quite good, Puss and Boots was a scene stealer again and a great scene with pinocohio which made me laugh a lot. Good ending to the series.

"A Prophet"-Tough French film set in prison,a guy gets six years in prison and goes in relativley innocent in the ways of prison life but soon learns it's kill or be killed. He soon gets to work on setting up his own empire inside.

There's shades of other prison films here but that's unavoidable, great acting and very realistic violence make it compulsive viewing if this type of movie is your thing.

    9/10.

I would also add my +1 to the above.
Saw it last night. Came at it with no expectations / preconceptions, and it is truly excellent. Never flagged for a moment. Two and a half hours of the best entertainment you'll get anywhere.
9/10 I'll go, just to leave room for The Expendables.

Agree with Longfordian about "Inception",really well shot with De Creepio playing his part very well, the 2 hours+ flew by. 9/10

"Moon"-Interesting science fiction about a guy working on a mining plant on the moon who gets an unexpected shock after waking up after crashing his moon buggy,a bit slow in parts but if you like space films you'll like it,bear in mind no monsters or alien type things in this and if you're more into horror you might be disapointed.7.5/10

Requiem For A Dream. 9/10. Horrible to watch at times. A look at addiction with great camera work and the actors sell their stories well. You really get to see people's lives being destroyed.

I saw Inception yesterday, and like one of the posters above all I knew was that there was nothing really to know about before going in. It is excellent. One of the best films I've ever seen. Cotillard (sp?) was doing my head in, and the way it turned out made me smile. The cast was fantastic, and I can't really fault any of the performances. Hardy is a fine actor, and grudgingly, so too is Di Caprio.

Chris Nolan is really really dining at the top table now.

Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

Saw Predators last night - what an absolute pile of sh*te...... 2 out of 5

DVD movie - really dissappointing - the writer struggled to come up with a decent script so just kept putting references to the the 1987 classic into in it instead

Watched 'Kingdom of Heaven' on TV during the week, and confirmed my initial opinion from a few years ago that it, and Orlando Bloom, are lightweight nonsense.
