saw The Ghost on wednesday, so now you don't have to
terrible, terrible film. First twenty minutes are a battle to see who can do the worst English accent. Whoever cast Kim Cattrall as a political advisor should be shot. In total in the film, there's about 15 minutes of doing nothing except watching Ewan McGregor travelling by plane, car and boat, seriously. Two massive plot holes are never addressed. Olivia Williams (Adelle DeWitt in Dollhouse) is the best thing in it. I didn't know who had directed it until the end, nearly went into shock when I saw it was Roman Polanski in the credits, should have asked to have his named removed.
Over the weekend I waw an old Czech flick that won foreign language Golden Globe and Oscar. Called 'Kolya'. On sale in HMV for a fiver. Brilliant, funny, sad and feel good.
Very good Spanish film "Timecrimes",about a guy looking through binnoculars sees a girl in the forest and goes to investigate and gets attacked by a weird guy with a scissors and bandaged head,he ends up in a time machine and if you like the idea of time travel in a movie you'll like this film---7.5/10.
(Got it on Amazon)

Got around to seeing Kick Ass. Great fun, but it was a wee bit disturbing to see an 11 year old girl being thumped about the place and indeed hacking people's legs off..
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
"Shuttle",Two girls returning from holidays take the airport bus into town but the driver takes them on a bit of a detour, adult film whilst no sex scenes there's a very strong sexual threat to the girls for a long time in the film and there's a fair bit of blood in it. 8/10
Finally got to see "Sexy Beast",weird name for a really good crime film with outstanding performances from Ray Winstone & Ben Kingsley, the Spanish dream still alive in this movie.
I loved it. 9.5/10
watching my bloody valentine (not much of a horror, more of a triller) along the same lines as i know what you did last summer gick
also watched how to train your dragon, that was a good watch, i was surprised
Iron Man 2, thought it was class, maybe not as witty in some part as the first one was, but its deffinately one of the better sequels ive seen,
ive seen part 1 about 20 times so i couldnt make an absoulute call on it but is was fairly on par,
5/5, but dont go in expecting the world, its a fun film thats not made for oscar nominations,
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.
Re-watched "The Boys from Brazil" to show some folks how a good concept can make for an interesting movie. I'd forgotten how well Olivier played the Weisenthal-type character, and how Peck was hammy but very scary. The one thing that always stuck in my mind about the movie was the little Paraguayan boy who purposely looks up through the gate and at Peck, then later in the film the same look but very different - thank to Mengele.
Going to watch The Informant and Green Zone this weekend. Saw Green Zone online but wasn't overly impressed, just hoping the big screen does it justice.
i watched hot tub time machine just there, its a good film
funny story line to it, didnt really break me nuts laughing but was good non the less
The first film Chris Morris (Brasseye, The Day Today) has ever made is just out. Four Lions is worth a watch if you're not the type to find a funny depiction of incompetent suicide bombers offensive. Limited release though.
You can't spell failure without FAI

Just watched "No man's land" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0283509/. Decent show sums up a lot of UN so called intervention over the past few decades
