Going to see The Time Traveler's Wife tonight.

For anyone who fancies seeing a classic on the big screen, Casablanca is showing at Screen cinema this week.

Saw TRAITOR the other night. Tagline on the cover said "The New Bourne" Yeah right. The only similarity was that they used a few European locations. Boring drivel, almost fell asleep twice.

Saw Knowing with Nicolas Cage over the wkd. I thought it was really good for the first three-qrtrs but deteriorated pretty badly near the end. Cage isn't everybody's cup of tea and neither will this movie. I like him though when he plays his lonesome half-depressed type character, which is a lot.

for an adaptation of a book, it was a pretty good effort (except for the end).

Sad, yes. I presume you brought your mott.

    Watched Deathproof last night.

I thought it was pretty crap. Some of the direction was pretty good but the plot/dialogue was terrible and the ending was really bad. I think Tarantino just made it to see if he could get away with something so crap.

    Mott?

Never read the book I'm afraid so went in blind. It was alright, though it didn't set my world on fire or anything.

Thought Inglourious Basterds was very good Suspenseful and funny in equal measure , Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz gave excellent performances

Thank you DR, I knew there was another one I needed to get out on DVD this week!

Saw The Damned United, finally, a couple of nights ago. Absolutely brilliant, haven't enjoyed a film as much in a long while. Quite different to the book, but a joy nonetheless.
To be honest I'd watch Timothy Spall and the brilliant Jim Broadbent putting up wallpaper, and they were excellent as ever, but Colm Meaney as Revie, and especially Michael Sheen as Clough, were outstanding.
Oh sorry, rate it! 10/10, all day long.

Rented the remake of "The last house on the left", thought it was pretty dreadful,...tedious, plodding, sadistic.

Oh Oh, the last few I've seen:

The Private Lives of Pippa Lee - good way to pass an evening, nothing spectacular. 6/10

Moon - Awesome. If you liked Solaris, 2001 etc. 9/10

    Mesrine - Killer Instinct 7/10

    Inglorious Basterds 7/10

    Mesrine - Public Enemy No. 1 8/10

Saw "Crank 2" High Voltage yesterday, probably one of the best and funniest movies I've seen this year. Action packed and dementedly funny. With appearances from Corey Haim, Gerri Haliwell and others and a soundtrack by Mike Patton, but you'd have had to see the first Crank to understand it. It also stars the gorgeous Amy Smart.
