Watched Appaloosa with Viggo Mortenson and Ed Harris, a pretty decent Western, with good perfomances from Harris, Mortenson and Jeremy Irons, unfortunately Renee Zelwegger shows up as a love interest of Harris, I don't get her appeal, Cold Mountain was probably the only thing I've found her watchable in, she's just annoying.
yeah i have to say i agree with u - was ok but in no way did i think it was as good as the hype.....maybe i was expecting to much b4 i saw it due to all the hype around it.
and yet at the same time i saw "role models" last week - went in not expecting 2 to much but liked the film - ---it keep me entertained for the 90mins with some very funny moments - was good.

Dodgeball was on RTE tonight- silly, stupid, predictable...and very funny.
Juno - Didn't really know what to make of it. Didn't feel a whole lot of empathy for the lead character. It's kinda halfway between a comedy and a drama, without really being either.
Yeah thats a good movie - funny that he actually wins it all back an then proceeds to blow it all away - again!
saw Something about Mary last night - i think its hugely overrated, very purile. But man Cameron Diaz was hot hot hot
Scorpion King - turned it off after 10 mins - rubbish
Swimmin with Sharks - wasnt bad, and the acting was A1, but it has been done better before in Glengarry Glen Ross, and Wallstreet - ie big bad boss etc
Saw a disturbingly brilliant film last night, I had missed it on dvd, caught it on Film4.
Funny games....wow...Very,very disturbing. It was one of those movies where I felt like I had held my breath for the whole 90 mins. The performance by the lead bad guy is just astounding. Still giving me a chill.
anyone else seen it?
Highly,highly recommended.
The US version, and from what I've read the US version is an exact replica of the Original. It's the same director for both of them and apparently he was insanely determined to make them identical. Except of course for the actors, who I think are exceptional, especially Michael Pitt and Naomi Watts.
Witness on Channel 4 last night. Excellent show. Still 10/10.
more bass
Watched this last night, thought it was very good. For those of you with Sky, it's on Sky Anytime at the moment.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Had that on DVR & watched it at the weekend. Not sure if it was brilliant or rubbish.
Also saw Frost/Nixon. Worth a look if into politics or current affairs. I am sure won't appeal to 90% of the multiplex visitors & it was in fairly small screen for first weekend. Not sure if the acting is really that great considering just mimicking a historical figure.
