I wasn't in Longford but from what ive heard and read on here they were pretty subdued celebrations yesterday compared to his celebration in Flancare.

I'm with you here, I'd say he has a vast body of celebrations - each as daft as the next - which he can call upon.

0-0, was turning into a snooze fest till the last 5 mins, could have snatched a win and probably deserved at least one goal tonight.

Brendan Daly was out, Pat Purcell was injured so he put Colbert at right back.

Missed him big time in midfield. Big contrast from last Friday.

Ye were never going to win after I included ye in my accumulator. Any time I've backed ye, my bet never comes off. Don't worry though, that's the last time I'll be doing it

The lad from Tipperary with the 'A' team they call Chester. Can't for the life of me remember his real name...

Ah Sligoman, include them just 1 more time next Thursday night

Were ye not at the races last night or were Athlone just very dogged? We have both of ye in the next fortnight, am worried about Thursdays game given the spanking ye dished out a few weeks back in Jackman.

We were all over them, could have scored 4, but it was one of those nights where both teams could have played another 90 mins and neither of us would have scored

Hard fought point for us, Lims shaded it and should have socred only for a couple of fine saves from Ciaran Kelly. Point well earned for us.

that sums it up.was unrealistic for our lads to maintain recent home form and in fairness athlone battled hard for the point.taught wayne was like a fish out of water, everyone in the shed with me thought so too.easy debut for collopy.

A little from column A, a little from column B.

Wayne Colbert at right full was a baffling decision and our international (who will be away next Thursday by the by) understandably wasn't very interested.

"Dogged" is about the kindest way you could sum up Athlone aswell.

    Foot.ie!

how could we go from such highs v waterford to such lows v athlone.i thought they were very negative and never wanted to take a shot at winning, maybe thats the reason for our better results against the better teams.if we dont learn how to break down the lesser teams i feel we wont achieve what we could next season......

    That's football for you...

Missed both games mind you, but according to those who were there it was the performances that were the most encouraging aspects.

Looking forward to next season already.

We struggled a little bit but had some excellent chances. One was blocked by the back of Manjor's head. I think it was little Davy Ryan who went one on one with their keeper. A little more luck and it would have been three nil. Trust me, the decline of this team is forecast once a month on here, but we're in good shape. As soon as our amazing midfielders stop filling in at centre-half (Barrett) and righ-back (Colbert) respectively, we'll be back to winning ways. . .and in Oriel Park no less!!!

Wasent that the number given to Captain Picard when he was Taken by the Borg?
Makes a change from the Kanye's and Jordans going around nowadays anyway.

Assigning any value to him would be ludicrous. He literally missed from 3yds out in that 6-0 funeral against Cobh.
