Will deffo go and have a look at this
Sligo Rovers and the Sligo-Leitrim & District Soccer League are to play each in other in a fundraiser for Sligo General Hospital . This will be first time in a few seasons that the two sides have faced each other with the last meetings being when the Sligo-Leitrim League participated in the Eircom U-21 League. The game will be held on Saturday November 15th in the Showgrounds with a 7:30pm kick-off and all proceeds go towards Sligo General Hospital .
This will be Sligo Rovers last competitive fixture of the season and Rovers manager Paul Cook has gave the fixture his full backing:
“This is a great chance for Sligo Rovers to give back to the community that has been so good to the club over the season. There’s no more worthy recipient that Sligo General and I’m delighted to be involved in anything that helps raise money for all the hard working staff. Also this game presents a chance for us to forge better links with the local junior soccer league and take a look at some of its best players. It’s a game that both myself and my players will be taking seriously as we know that local bragging rights are at stake.”
Sligo-Leitrim will be managed by Carbury manager Adrian Conlon, one of the most successful local managers, and he will have the pick of players from the four divisions. Tickets for the game cost €10 and are available from the Showgrounds, the PSO, Sligo General Hospital and Sligo Garda Station with more outlets to come on stream soon. There will also be a private function afterwards for all involved in the Sligo Southern Hotel. This game also has the full support of the Friends of Sligo General Hospital and they will determine what the money raised is put towards.

Yeah, it'll be re-scheduled at some point I'm sure.

I don't think anyone expected a night of celebrations beforehand when this game was scheduled.
I would have thought they should have played it. It's a charity match and there's no more games there for a few months
Tickets were sold for it so it'll have to be re-played.

Won't go down well with the SL League who called off all the fixtures this weekend on account of this game...
