We did consider that Pauro but as it is a pub & restaurant it may not have been wholly appropriate for the kids. Also sponsers come and go..........but Football head is here to stay!

EDIT: he was known as Football Head due to his very large, very round head (yes, kids are cruel), not because he was mad about football

i think we have the same lad in mind....havnt seen him in years...New York probably explains why...
his younger brother/neighbour (cant recall which) also had a very round head, though not as big as football head...he got the nickname of handball head!!!!

i voted for the mascot with the cow head.....would have been a lot funnier i thought (especially after the comments expressed by some opposition managers in years gone by in regard to the surroundings of gortakeegan!!)

So our new Mascot has finally a name??? Pity it was a kids thing Magic, i thought Drumlin Dave would have got the medal!!

We did consider a cow but since Finn Harps have one we wanted something different. Also one Mad Cow at Monaghan United is enough!!

He hasnt gotten a name as such yet but is being called Football head for the sake of having something to call him.

We did consider it but were scared someone would bite into him when the mondogs ran out.

Tbh id be put off by the creepy guy inside the outfit.

Agree Aidz but very few people care about how we do on the pitch unless we beat their team.

Good to see an interest in the mascot though. I wasnt online over the weekend either or there may have been a bit more talk of the game.
