i was listening to rte radio 1 yesterday afternoon. They had roy curtis on the show with eoin hand.

In between the usual horse sh1te that roy curtis was saying, he stated that he was told that andy reid and trap had a fall out in germany about not getting a game in mainz.

If its true, not exactly headline news ...sub has run-in with manager over non-selection. Am sure it happens a thousand times every weekend.

As much as I'd love to see Andy playing, we just cannot argue with Trap. I really hope that Andy can keep his composure here, I'm sure he'll get his chance.

If true, shows Andy is committed, and desperately wants to play....unlike someone else!

Dion Fanning made reference to a row between Reid and Trapp in his article in the Sunday Independent yesterday.

He didn't dwell on this in great detail or sensationalise it. It's no major surprise if there's words between a disgruntled player and the manager.

Its when a player does not ask why he is not playing that worries me.

I think it happened in the hotel and not sure of the details of it, but a few journalists have mentioned it. Do not think its a big issue to be honest and do not think that Andy Reid would do a Kris Boyd.
    In Trap we trust

And let's hope Doyler doesn't do a "Chris Iwelumo"

Can't say I blame him especially if Miller is picked ahead of him on Wednesday or will it get worse with Andrews getting the nod ahead of both of them?

in fairness to A.Reid even after allegedly having a row with Il Trap he still went to the game and sat on the bench. A lot of players nowadays would storm off and go straight to their hack friends and put it in the paper.

If they did have a row then maybe Trap feels he can't start him as it would look like the player influenced his decision by having a go.

Just my idle speculation but I have heard from various sources (journo's not me having an inside line or anything!!) that there was some sort of row....

I quite like Andy reid as a player but it's not up to him to dictate to the manager whether he gets to play or not. Regardless of what he thinks, just because he's called up for the squad, it doesn't mean that he has a divine right to play even if he feels that the player that is taking his place is inferior. As has been pointed out, the best players don't necessarily make the best team.

Maybe they did have a row, but thats just beause Andy wants to play so bad. At least he has put his head down and got on with trying to impress Trap in training rather than running to the media, pulling out with a fake injury, or semi retiring like Boyd with Scotland. Twice the man Stepehn Ireland is

Reid was one of Trap's planned substitutions in Montenegro so I wouldn't worry too much.

and you know this how exactly? well something is certainly gone wrong. reid should start when everyone is fit nevermind when we are struggling. he has always looked head and shoulders above both miller and whelan( altho a differnt type of player). and if we can see this, god knows trap can. you can be sure brady would like him ahead of miller so it is just trap that doesnt fancy him. shame really

Fair enough. I hope Millar finally performs for us and delivers on his promise in those CL games for Celtic over 5 years ago. I somehow douth it though.
