Who's coming down to teh Cobh match tomorrow?
If you get a chance to see it on Chorus you should watch the Cobh-Sligo match from last weekend. It was the dirtiest game I have ever seen. Cobh were an absolute disgrace. I know we slag them off a lot here and we may be a bit biased, but you can even tel from teh commentator that he is shocked. They tried to kick Sligo all the way home. Hill got sent off and then went over to the Sligo bench to hurl abuse. The other Cobh player sent off was for a crazy tackle that could easily have broken Cretaro's leg. And I understand that another Cobh substitute was sent off from the bench.
Any shots of the fans and you could see they were disgusted as well (except the kids who were just playing). They will try the same tomorrow. Yelverton and Bruton must wonder what they are doing playing for that shower.

Myself and gael353 are heading down. As well as a combination of Deise Deserter, Nempton and JohnD I think? The only thing about Cobh is that everybody knows that they're dirty gits so they tend not to get away with it anymore.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
I will be heading down early tomorrow afternoon and meet up with ye all later.
How about a beer in a local hostelry before the game? We can go to the clubhouse but meeting down the town might let the locals know there is a match on. I'll get the name of a spot if you're interested.

Sounds great. Let us know where and we will met up.
I second that motion.Originally posted by JohnD

The main square in the town in called Casement Square. There is a pub there called the Rotunda Bar. I have no idea what its like but we can meet there and see if suits our refined tastes. How about 6.30 to 7.00?

Another option would be Maguires...its a decent enough sports pub...was in it a few seasons back.
Fair enough. The plan is to meet in Maguires on Plunkett Square (the main square in the centre of town) betwen 6.30 and 7 o'clock. 8 o'clock k-o.

Well as always, all fans are welcome. Maguires is a bit small, but there is always plenty of bars around both squares.
All I say to those travelling fans is keep an open mind when you watch the match.
The last limerick game wasn't a dirty game, first hand viewing is better than lisyening to the hype.
Heres to a good game.
My thoughts exactly! Don't be afraid to say hello!Originally posted by Rams-fan

Absolutely. And Rams-fan and others who post on here please say hi - in the interests of Munster Clubs United it's good to make contacts at other clubs. There will be slagging of course but what else is supporting a football for?
SLK will be easy to identify - he is a big hairy ugly lad with a Limerick jersey as opposed to the big hairy ugly lads and ladies with Cobh scarves. And the other Limerick supporters are the strikingly handsome people that Cobh will be talkign about for quite some time.![]()

Sorry to dispel your notions of the last game (and this is first hand viewing), but in all three of the games we have played against Cobh they have proved that they are cynical and dirty. Last night's attempts to hack Stephen O'Flynn down at the end of the match were typical of the teams mindset.Originally posted by Rams-fan

All the same isn't the news about Davey-boy great?![]()

One tackle dosen't consitute a dirty game. But then, it is what some people came to see, preconception is a dangerous thing.Originally posted by deise deserter

Maybe you left in despairwhen the second goal went in, but there was more than one tackle put in by Cobh players...

Better luck against Dublin, the referees seem to favor them![]()
