On this most chaotic of days for us it almost been forgotten that Leo The Lion has been hit with a suspension for the rest of the season. The reason for this is... well nobody seems quite sure...
The ball is round and has many surprises.
Fingal complaining about nothing to be honest. Next time we're up there and get searched and harrassed in Morton Stadium we'll all put complaints in
Heaven forbid a mascot should be animated. Some people clearly have such a high opinion of this league they want to turn our grounds into the morbidly humourless stadia of the Premier League. If this league didn't have a sense of humour it'd have nothing.
And now to substantives: If it really is the avowed aim (as it should be) of the FAI that we promote interest at grassroots level then surely the last thing you'd want to do is attack what is ostensibly 25% of the entertainment for the many kids who flock to Leo every evening to have photos taken with and programmes signed by him. Besides - and not meaning to make anyone cry - it's just a guy in a suit, can't they ask for the person who so ably plays the lion to be changed?
Even hitler appreciated the power of aesthetics and symbology and if the powers that be can't then they're not worthy of the label of fascists.
We tend to believe that words enable thought. But words can also substitute for thought.

Fairplay Generation XI, it was intended to lighten the humour and I'm glad you took it that way
