Scram you are a chancer you are now blaming players for goals that did not even exist and the FAI for something they did not even organise.
Stokes gets senior call-up
GivenAnthony Stokes has been rewarded with a senior call-up for Ireland after impressing boss Giovanni Trapattoni in a friendly game last night.
Stokes played the full 90 minutes for an Ireland select XI against Nottingham Forest at Dalymount Park, creating the first goal in a 2-0 win.
And after impressing the watching national boss Trapattoni, the 20-year-old has been called up to the senior squad for their World Cup qualifier against Cyprus at Croke Park next Wednesday night.
Stokes joins Sunderland team-mates Andy Reid, Daryl Murphy and Liam Miler in the Ireland squad as the Italian today added three players from last night's friendly.
Hull's Caleb Folan, scorer of the first goal against Forest, and Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson have also been promoted to the senior ranks.
Stokes has so far won tree senior caps for Ireland - Reid currently has 28, Miller has 19 and Murphy eight.

In Trap we trust
Presume he meant the Georgia goal?
Miller continuing to get the nod over Reid (certainly Trapp has continually placed Miller ahead of Reid when outlining his probable / alternate line-ups at press conferences) has been one of the most noteworthy things of Trapps tenure so far.
If he is indeed starting - we're really going to need Miller to finally deliver on all of these reprieves he's got in the green shirt.
Outside of that, admittedly, great strike against the Swedes (in a friendly) -I'm struggling to think of much else of note that he's done.
He goes missing from the midfield more often than not and I've found he concedes far too many needless free kicks which disrupts any momentum we try and build upon. He has no real creative presence and rarely if ever stamps some authority on the game.
If anything else - its D-Day for Miller. If this goes tits up it will be a costly gamble on Trapps part.
Quoting years at random since 1975
Folan, Foley, Stokes, Andrews and Gibson all called up for Cyprus.
