What happened the 2nd pitch.

Trueview: just walked our main pitch...some amount of surface water on it.. rain still milling down. cant see match going ahead. Re 2nd pitch, Limk corpo needed access to main sewage drain for southside of city.. said drain runs directly under 2nd pitch.they came in about 4-5 weeks ago, excavated an area of about 5 x 4 yrds in the peno area on pitch,, they are still farting around.. saying that it gave us a chance to bring fwd some badly need remidial work that needed to be carried out on the two problem areas on 2nd pitch. that work is now completed and staring to knit in nicely. all we need now if for the corpo too finish and then we can get the excavated area repaired..

Will it be ready for the start of next season if not where will ye play.

You,ve some neck oscar slaging our field we did,nt know if we were playing a soccer match or water polo down there,

all the one it looked like ye did,nt want to play us anyway

must of being short a few pal

Ye were,nt doing much to get the match either.

Thats the cause of the other field been so bad there is a pipe burst down there and its all flowing on to the good field but its all been fixed at the moment..leather gave a good account of it in the last page

Lads watced Regional at home to granville tonight before catching the latter of the tuohy final. Granville deserved somthing from this one, they started slowly and were one down and from there missed a host of chances before Regional scored a good goal in last few minutes. Have to say didn't look too much between the sides and on this evidence Regional have their work cut out to finish anywhere near Pike or Fairview, the mind boggles as to how they beat Pike so easily last week

mistake for first goal gifted regional their first last week. Then as pike chased the game they got another 2 . simple as that, the scoreline against pike flattered them....but they got the 3 pijts which i am sure is all that mattered to regional...

Thought Regional were comfortable , got their goal after a few minutes and were quite happy to let Granville try and break them down. Trust me if this game was still going on Granville would still not have scored. Regional had 2 players starting lastnight that havent even been in their squad this season never mind started a league game. Based on those facts Regional will be quite happy with 3 pts. Granville have a habit of bringing teams down to their level and proved this again lastnight. Regional to me seam like a team that is at its happiest playing against the better teams ( did the league double over Pike ) and if they get their squad back to full strength there maybe something at the end of the season for them.

From what I was told lastnight , Regional have only been beaten once in 90 mins this season. Credit where credit is due!
