not being smart but that's how things are dared.
fairview have brought in players from other clubs agreed, but have also put enormous work into schoolboy football,as have ye,to develop our own players...something that can't be said about some other premier clubs.
also fairview have suffered most from losing players to limerick fc.
good luck to them, after all it is a higher grade, and i would clap any player on the back for trying to make it at the next level.in the last number of years we lost jason purcell, kevin mccarthy.declan considine, robbie k,jossi, chucka, tommy bar, jeffrey judge, bob tier, john white, derek white, pat purcell, rossi, colm heff to name but a few,and had just got to get on with it.
one particular season we lost our 3 c/forwards to limerick...and so it goes!!!!
but take note of regional.....they won their first premier trophy last year, have put in great work on the schoolboy front, and are now leading the premier league.
they are no different then corbally...so winning some thing like a tuohy cup amy not seem a big thing...but it can help enormously in your clibs progression.
the view won there first premier trophy for 11 seasons in 1986 and have not looked back since...stick with it dared!!!!

Well there you go... the young lads today seem to think their more important then the team. Whats happened to fellas being happy to be playing week in week out for there local sides and more importantly showing pride in the jersey their wearing.. At the end of the day the most important thing is to contribute to a team and for players that means PLAYING !

last part is a bit harsh....things change, when i played you could only name two subs..later increased to three.now you can name six subs and use three.that had a direct bearing on the difference between panel sizes strength in debt etc.
you had far less of a chance of getting a game back then so,panels where not that big and people tended to stay in teams where they were getting a game.hence the league was more competitive, but the chances of winning fai's were remote.
times change lads...we just have to try and keep up with it

lads it a lot harder to get players when the club is so far out side the city and u have to use home grown players saying that we won 18 trophies from our youths to our first team last year so the future looks good if we can stay up we signed 2 good players yesterday so hopefully a few new faces will push the players on

i know times change but why in the hell would you get up sunday morning and sit on the bench when you can get a game every sunday morning with some other team and prove to the team you were sitting on the bench with what they are missing.

i dont know about you dared but when i was playing i would rather have played in any of the leagues than sit on the bench week in week out,i know you have to have some players on the bench but they would always get a game here and there if they were not as good as the people on before them.but people that are good enough to start and sit on the bench is absolute lunacy.

I agree. Some people are just glory hunters. If they stayed with their clubs or the some what smaller teams and gradually built up a team the league would be far better i think. You must be most sickened dared because corbally would have some squad nevermind team if all their players had stayed.

Sickened is not the word.... but we still have some very good young players that are a joy to work with...
