didnt think it was a great game. carew were much the better side in the first have but the boro keeper pulled off a number of fine saves. saying that i thought the free kick was fairly tame and he should have dealt better with it. boro should have been awarded a definite penalty but the ref wasnt having one of his best games. thought the black haired guy in the middle for carew ( whelan?) was their only decent performer. boro didnt seem too interested even though they came into it a bit in the second half.

Great performance by pike last night , they really showed their class . Enright and mullins were airtight at the back . pike played great football from start to finish and the result reflects the effort . Fairview looked very tired and didnt perform . Congrats to connie, Casey, and the whole squad . Should be a good weekend .

totally argee with that comment, was at the game and thought the pike number 7 (doyler?) was the best player on the pitch, great attitude, brillant engine and all round quality player. on the other hand i seen a sub for fairview( cosgrave?) storm away from the bench and go and get togged out and showered while still 20 mins left in the game when the view had used their last sub, maybe im wrong but my thinking is you stick with your team win lose or draw and take decisions like a man, thought it was disrepectful to his team mates who had fought an uphill fight from the start

yes John Boyle ran his socks off last night and caused the view loads of trouble (and was up front on his own).

it is bad form to walk away like that (if the above is true) but it is hard to see players not doing it and a recent LOI player left on the bench and not getting a run..strange one if you ask me........
at the end of the day we all turn up to play ball....

LOI 1st division players are just very fit junior players tbh. Some come back to junior and think they are better than they are. You are insulting the players on the pitch by walking off, all you are saying is that you think you are better than your teammates on the pitch when you do that. Crap attitude.

well done connie, casey and co. thought pike would really struggle last night but it ended up being very comfortable.. great effort all year. have to agree with comments about john boyle i think he is the most underrated player in limerick. works his socks off an is a real TEAM PLAYER, rarely gets the credit he deserves and really stepped up to the task with pa mol out.
