So how did your man do today? It was a well taken goal, but that's about all ITV showed really.

Aye, they wernt the best highlight's I've ever seen, but we definitely deserved the win, Shearer had a 2 or 3 shots saved, Bellamy had a few blocked and saved, Bowyer was a constant threat, And Dyer and Jenas were canny too.

Southampton only had one real shot, and that was about 10 miutes from the end, when the lad hit a 25 yarder which Given saved.

We didnt play as well as we did againt Breda, Bolton and Arsenal, but we got the 3 points, which is the most important thing at the end of the day.

I did think that we would come unstuck again against Southampton. They had been playing quite well, until Boro.
