Oh I'd argue with it...
Empire Strikes back is ****e, and the ending of the Shawshank Redmption is ridiculous SPOILER: How did he manage to pin the poster back over the hole on all four corners?
I was just checking this out on empireonline.com. It's the biggest poll in Uk film history I believe. The top 5 is pretty predictable, but hard to argue with. It was 5: Jaws 4: Shawshank 3: Empire Strikes Back 2: Raiders of the Lost Ark 1: Godfather.
Citizen Kane, the usual winner of such things was 28.

I voted on this a few months ago , they asked for 10 , I went for
1 American Beauty
2 The Truman Show
3 The Shawshank Redemption
4 It's a Wonderful Life
5 Goodfellas
6 Fargo
7 Donnie Darko
8 Fargo
9 Magnolia
10 Dumb and Dumber
Just a few movies that I thought should have been way above their positions:
467-Deer Hunter
457-Full Metal Jacket
445-Dumb and Dumber
439-Grosse Point Blank
387-Rain Man
316-Trainspotting
308-The Terminator
273-The Maltese Falcon

There is proof. SPOILER: When the hole is found, the guard/cop (not sure) rips a bit more from it. The bottom parts of the poster are clearly hanging from where they were stuck to the wall.
Believe me I've looked at it loads of times. Hoping I was wrong at the start, adn then proving it to others

SPOILER: Yes but it is a paper poster - there's a bit of flexibility there that can allow him to put his hand under and position the last pin. As the hole is the width of his body and the poster is only held up by four pins, I think he could get his hand under and put the last pin in place.
I disagree. And it ruins the film for me.
Good up to that alright... (but still nowhere near top ten of all time)

SPOILER: You could definitely get that pin back in place from the inside. Give me a wire coat hanger, two pieces of Wrigglies Spearmint gum, four pins and a poster and a great big hole in the wall and i'd bet yeah €100 i could do it![]()
Good up to that? Sure thats most of the film soGood up to that alright... (but still nowhere near top ten of all time)![]()
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Shawshank is possibly most overrated film ever, It is a nice story well told but shouldn't be anywhere near top 10 lists. Footballers favourite movie alongside pasta for food as appeared in ever almost every Shoot interview![]()
Shawshank is a heap of steaming poo poo. The male equivalent of 4 Weddings/ Bridget Jones/ SATC
A patriot is someone who knows how to hate his country properly.

Shawshank is very popular. And yes Gustavo, I'm with you on this one. There's just no pleasing some people.
