In todays Sun, George (who apprently has a cruciate picked up against UCD, they mixed him up with Flynn) said that the major reason for re-signing was that he couldnt imagine playing againsy City, that he loves the club/fans etc.

I think he was offered something around 1,000 a week plus signing on fee. Not as much as Shels but nothing compares to playing for city.
