agree with you on the referee.it would be between purcell and mcgarry for limerick best player for me.both were excellent on the day.thought myself that the kerry centre back with the grey hair, think his name was hayes was there best player.one of there forwards looked very lively also.all in all a good entertaining game.real end to end stuff in the second half.

Ye, no one wanted to manage the side. Pretty poor considering how well the Waterford clubs have done in the last number of years in national competitions

honestly i dont know he was playing last year for ballydehob in the premier division, i only play west cork league 2nd division and dont get to play against him. i cant get match reports from west cork league games so i cant check either right now either. There might be a match report from the game against desmond league and ill check, but i wont make the match in limerick.
He must be old enough at this stage

A few pics from the Limerick Desmond v West Cork game. Limerick Desmond were playing some stylish stuff and winning 4-0 when I left.

How did Roscommon and Clare get on today? Who is likely to come out on top between Mayo and Galway.

Yes it was a fully deserved win for Mayo after a slow start. Mayo had all the chances in the second half and Peyton in the Mayo goal had only to cut out crosses.

Mayo were by far the better team and should have won by more. Dessie needs to be more clinical in front of goal. Galway seemed to lack discipline and were not expecting to be beaten by Mayo. Mayo's plan seemed to upset the Galway pattern.

Do you know who else has qualified? I believe Roscommon beat Clare 3-2. When is the next round on or when will the draw be. It is only the top team in each group that qualifies this year.

Wexford beat Kilkenny 2-1 so they're through too as far as I know. Two very good wins against the Leinster Senior and Kilkenny.
