    Webcam platforms

The new laptop referred to in another thread also has a webcam. We have family in England and the far east - what is the best platform to talk to them using the webcam - Skype? or are there other options?

So if we are both online at the same time we just go onto Yahoo Messenger and we can chat via webcam? Cool!
(Dumb question alert - do we have to type-in our conversation or can we do it by microphone (don't answer that, I'll go to the Yahoo website and find out for myself).)

Must get my Mam set-up too.

    Thanks!

No you can talk to each other, picture quality will depend on broadband speed but it's usually pretty good. Here's what it can do http://messenger.yahoo.com/features/

Lads, can you let me know how you get on with this. Need to set this up with family and mates as well.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

My brother and I are both on GMail, so am going to trial Google Talk. My Mam and other brother are on Hotmail so will try out their offering too. It all seems pretty straightforward, download the software and away you go.
