Foot.ie! Last game showdown at the Pike!

Just been looking in to my crystal ball and this is how I see ours and Kildares last games going... we'll get 20 more points, this season, they'll get 14...leaving us 3 points behind them (us currently on 33, them on 42) going in to the last nailbiting, dramatic finale at the Pike where Derek McCarthy will strike deep into injury time to get us that elusive 4th spot...

Limerick: Bray (draw) Cobh, Kilkenny (wins) Dublin City (draw) Monaghan, Athlone(wins) Finn Harps (lose) Galway, Dundalk(wins) 20 points. Total 53
Kildare: Harps(lose) Kilkenny(win) Sligo (draw) Athlone (win) Dublin City, Bray (losses) Dundalk (draw) Cobh, Monaghan (wins) 14 points. Total 56

Then...Derek does his stuff, and we're in the play-offs on goal difference, where we destroy Derry City ...again

If these go as planned for the rest of the season we are still in the hunt. We still end up with 53 and 56, even without the points deduction. The really tough ones will be Harps and Dundalk away.

love it! Bray fans up here appreciated the favour on Sunday and tell me they`ll do their best for us in two games time.
The rest is up to us anyone going up to Monaghan on Monday?
The way we are playing anything is possible!

Just looking at this and if your forecast is correct for the final three matches before Nov 30 then we miss out.

If we win our last two and get 6 points. They get a draw a two wins that's 7 points. So they would be 4 ahead of us on the last day of the season.

No doubt they have a handier run in. But they are buckling! And we're on a roll. If we can get a draw in Ballybofey we are really in with a great shout.

The main thing now is that our fate is in our own hands. We have a game against them and a better goal difference (just).

And we're unbeaten in 9 games which is ome feat. They'll have three suspensions to deal with in their match two while Harps will be missing Declan Boyle against us for the same reason.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

good luck with it lads. Ye'd really deserve it. Just one question though..... Don't wanna throw a spanner in the works or anythin, but if ye did get promotion, would ye be allowed up? I'd have to say I doubt it

Not as things stand - but that would be a very very very welcome problem. I am confident that if we did win promotion that some soltion could be found. I mean Shamrock Rovers don't have a ground so as long as we could find some suitable venue to rent there is no reason we can't take up our place.

    Well,

Its certainly exciting. Just like our GAH team we kildare people love doing things the hard way.

This is all a ploy by the Supporters Club to make sure they fill a bus to our last game against you guys

If you sneaked it I wouldn't begrudge it to ye but obviously I hope we can hang on.

The results this week will leave it much clearer. We are not playing that badly but throw in a useless manager and some seriously bad refereeing along with an inept board and thats how we have come to the situation we are in while all along you guys have been brilliant.

Worse case scenario is that I could see us needing a draw in the Pike.

You need something in Ballybofey though.

unbeaten in 9, countyman...probably the longest unbeaten run in the entire EL this season, I'd say. And we've already gone to Ballybofey and come away with something, so there's absolutely nothing at all to scare us...on the pitch. However, Noel Kings missus in the crowd....different thing altogether!!
