    Most Entertaining Ref?

Has to be Jim O'Neill. Seen him in action again last night at Ramblers V Dublin City.

Midway through the first half there was a tussle near the sideline and Tony Sheridan came running in to take the ball, thinking it was a free to Dublin City, but O'Neill gave the free to Cobh saying 'You didn't see it Tony - something happened behind your back. It's a free-kick against this genius (pointing to the guilty Dub).'

This happened some years ago at a schooboys match I chanced upon in the local park. The referee had'nt turned up and both team officials agreed on a local man to stand in.No matter what he did, though, the poor man was getting abuse from both sides (yes, even his own crowd!) He finally got tired of it and roared at his own people "It's bad enough getting it off them without getting it off my own, here's the f****** whistle and do it your f****** self!" and he stormed off! A hasty conference was then held and both clubs then agreed on a man from the other side to take over. But he also got abused on both sides with predictable results, whereupon the match was finally abandoned. Hilarious,unbelievable...but true!!!
