Could almost say all 3 have been automatic u-21 XI players in the last year.

did anyone read page 222 on aertel titled
'three EL players in U21 squad'
it contains a paragraph that read (along the lines of)...
With qualification for the european championships now impossible Dan O'Connor (Waterford Utd), Wes Hoolahan (Shels) and John O'Flynn (Cork City) have received call-ups to the squad.
...as if they're not in on merit.
needless to say i was upset, and to ensure i was overreacting got a third party (with no EL interest whatsoever) to verify that it was insulting...
angry letter found it's way there this morning.

Another aertel piece of magic over the weekend was "Town hit 4 past drogs" and then go on to describe 5 goals
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
Bloody hell, O'Flynns been our best striker at that level recently and Houlihan is first choice left winger now that Reids gone. Typical.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
By all accounts there then Aertel are getting much much better.
Last year it would have been O'Flynn, Holohan et al in the England netball squad and Longford beating Drogheda with a late converted try.

BTW Aertel gave the Shels scorer v UCd (Harris) as some conculted foreign sounding name beginning with H on friday night.
However credit where credit is due the were nearly right giving Cork a 2-1 win over Waterford as a result when it finished 2-2.
the TV3 text is gettin worse also
Longford Town FAI
Carlsberg Cup Champions 2003
Did anyone notice that Aertel's preview of the Longford-Rovers game included a reference to "starker Eric Lavine." Forgot to mention it at the time. I honestly believe they're doing it deliberately for some reason.
i dont think that TV3 even covered the Longford Galway semi
