Thought rational replies to posts critical of other clubs weren't allowed on this site?

Good point by Cobh tonight. Hopefully they got a big crowd.

I'd love to see either, Harps, Cobh or UCD avoid relegation.

I remember on the bus back from Ballybofey a few weeks ago the topic of the basement came up and i said i didn't mind if Dundalk came up, much to the disagreement of the other lads, but ye'r such a bitter club i really hope ye'r annual ''crash and burn'' commences soon and ye don't get up!!.
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D

I was only joking by the way.. I was just pointing out the only one of the four clubs in the relegation battle that SMorgan didn't mention (hence the 'wink'). That kind of statement made Rovers1's question a bit pointless and odd..

Galway are a great club, would love to see them stay up. Dungawk can stay put.

What do you base that on? Half a million in debt just to get no promotion and eleventh in the Premier?

I'm saying I like their fans, staff, and their club generally. I intended nothing about how efficiently their finances were run.

Oh, OK. Curious criteria. Still, fair enough.

Curious criteria for wanting a club to stay up or for calling them a great club?

    Calling them a great club.

I enjoy trips to Galway too (will be going there next year too ), but I wouldn't call them a great club. But as I said, whatever floats your boat.

Yes, absolutely, which is why your questioning me over it is a little odd. It's an issue of semantics.

Odd is an odd word. Was curious is all. Maybe all questions are odd? Except that one.

Obviously I don't subscribe to what your definition of what a great club is.. A great club might have a few league and cup triumphs to their name perhaps?

    Oh you know, the usual.
We score first, then cling on to the single goal lead for all we are worth.
You can expect an equaliser anytime between 85 and 95 minutes, usually pretty soft, either a tap in or a penalty and the game will end 1-1.

Ok so this is a really fun argument to watch and all (imagining the heads ready to explode behind the computer screen) but, Harps way better than the lot of the relegation contenders, we are a great club, we have a firmly dedicated group of fans that will stop at nothing to offer hospitality to away fans, (yes it does mean a p!ss up in the pub but its a small price to pay) we give the majority of visiting teams even better hospitality by sending them home with 3 points and of course have the courtesy to hold teams up for an entire season.
I'll submit my dvd by tomorrow and state my further case to avoid relegation.
