Some good news for the Bray game

Eddie Gormley is suspended for the match this weekend. In the previous match (the first at the Pike) he scored the winner with a jammy goal, but was generally the boss in midfield. Glad he is out.

And since it is a home game maybe some of our players might decide to come along. When is the GAA season over?

Looks like the amateur organisation is still paying far better than the professional one in Limerick.

an 'amateur' organisation that could hold the next european championships in Ireland with slight development in their regal stadia On sunday alone they made 3.5million in gate receipts, 1/2 a million in programmes sales, 100,000 in advertising revenue from the programme, plus god knows what in worldwide tv rights...not a bad afternoons work

    amateur

Paudie O'Shes amateur status can be seen in his expences from last season. 90,000 euro to be a coach of your county side. ah shur doesn't he do it only for the love of the game!!! ******! even when i played we were well looked after. we used to get 35 pounds each for taking a lift to castleconnel from the city and then a big meal in one of the local hotels.

I don't begrudge the gaa players their money - they deserve it - rugby was the same before it went pro - Garryowen...nuff said.

I do begrudge somebody taking money from Limerick and from the gaa and not showing up for Limerick.
