hehe - nothing is below me.
Sorry - that's gone to far - in my opinion its incongruous with all the (RIP) comments made over the last few days by forum members.
I might be getting old - I'd just feel ashamed if a member of the family or a friend read this (or indeed any visitor to this site - which usually manages to stay just the right side of the line)
If it's any consolation Paddy, I have no doubt SkStu will be pursued through the bowels of Hades by an aroused, hermaphroditic Maggie Thatcher whilst a horde of Galatasaray fans chant in graphic detail about his imminent violation.
Although I should make it clear that all of that has nothing to do with his insensitive posting habits and everything to do with Satan being a Shamrock Rovers supporter.
Indeed - no worries - off to bed with my cocoa. The levinson enquiry is fresh in my mind and the quite appalling treatment the parents suffered at the hands of the press. The story about the mothers diary is quite unbelievable and that does plunge the depths of hell.
Strangely enough an article in the paper tonight - the English police visiting Barcelona as part of a review of the case. I've a four year old girl and I hope they resolve it.
btw Chris McCann more than warrants a run out.
McCann's progress is interesting in relation to young Meyler. It's taken McCann a year since his return from injury to regain the form and momentum he had before it.
McCann is a lovely little player. It was very unfortunate for him that he got his injury when he did, but even more so for Burnley, as he was pivotal to them. Still though, they were always going to be fubar'd giving the job to Brian Laws when they did. Not even McCann was going to save them.

I've not seen much of him.. Has he got something to offer Traps type of formation?? I personally keep harking back to Meyler as the fringe player with potentially most to offer Trapps first 11. But he can't string a run together.
I'd wonder why Coyle hasn't gone back for McCann though, when he did for Eagles and Mears? Has there been any gossip about a January move for McCann to any clubs??
I wouldn't be surprised if McCann does go in January to the Premiership. He is only now recovering his form after two bad injuries. I think he felt a sense of loyalty to Burnley who looked after him well, when he was injured, hence him signing a new contract. However if someone comes in with the right offer, Burnley will take the money. Its unlikely he will make the Euros but he is still only 23 and has a big future ahead of him.
Always look on the bright side of life
He's 24
They had Holden and Muamba at the time, and it remained to be seen whether Chris was going to be back to his normal self so that probably had something to do with it. Also, there must be nothing worse for a fan to see a manager raid an old club for new players, but even more so when that club was relegated - if results had not gone well (they haven't as it turned out) it's an immediate rod for the managers back - not to mention a waste of valuable funds. Coyle probably was confident of getting a couple of decent loan deals too.

Yeah, I think he had to prove his fitness and it's taken until now for him to do that. Burnley won't want to lose him but if Coyle wants him enough he'll spend the money.
The feeling amongst Burnley supporters is that McCann is not back at his best yet
He is not as strong is the tackle as you might expect with the injury he picked up
and until very recently he had not been stamping his authority on games as you
would have expected pre injury.
Perception is that it was more a psychological thing that anything else
However, he does show signs of improving recently, hopefully it will continue
but it is highly unlikely at this late stage he will force himself into the squad
This may be one reason why Coyle has not come back in for him yet
Who knows maybe he will try and take him in Jan
McCann seeking reprieve
"I look forward to hopefully get back playing well and force my way into the Republic of Ireland manager’s plans. It’s got to be an aim of mine, me pushing on. I want to play in the international side."
