Looking very likely that the lad will be a premiership footballer next year!
Burnley are promoted.
In Trap we trust
Nice. Its great for us that a player thats one of the main players of a team is playing in Premiership now. I don't think Andrews is really ever going to play in the middle in the Premiership(if he stays with Blackburn at all) so Trapattoni really needs to be open-minded with his squad selections.
I'd say there's nothing between Andrews and McCann right now except that McCann clearly has time to improve and become even better, Andrews having the advantage of already having played internationally. For the remainder of this campaign I reckon Andrews will stay comfortably ahead of McCann. However, he's been playing RB for a few games now.
As YI was saying last week though, if we can just qualify there's a lot on the near-horizon that could play its way into the team (or the bench) for summer 2010. A few months of low pressure friendlies and a full season of top flight football for Foley and McCann, maybe St. Ledger will secure a EPL move, the likes of Whelan and Andrews will have another year under their belts, people like Nolan will have another sound season behind them etc. I'm not fussed if Duff stays in the Championship - he'll be good enough to play well for Ireland regardless.
I really think we'll be stronger a year from now but so what if we're watching another finals on telly?
well said stutts.

It will be interesting to see if Owen Coyle would be tempted to sign Chris for Bolton. If Owen Coyle is interested would Burnley sell Chris to Bolton. Money would talk I would suggest.
He missed today's opener against Nottingham Forest with what seems to be a tear in his knee cartilage. The lad seems to have no luck.
It's even worse than that. Full reconstruction required after cruciate damage. 6 months.

Unlucky Chris. I've had two tears of cartilage, once a repair and once a removal. He must of torn his cartilage a while ago and kept playing on it and eventually injured his ACL. I doubt it'll be his last knee injury if my experiences tell me anything.
