[QUOTE=lifegoeson;1025003]Coonagh 2 Croom Utd 3
Coonagh made a disappointing exit at the first hurdle in the Munster Junior Cup this morning. They led early on when stand-in captain Kevin Grimes prodded home from a corner that Croom had failed to clear. Coonagh made most of the running early on and could have been two or three up before half time. As has happened too often this season, Coonagh let their opponents back into it though, and Croom equalised before half time with a well taken goal.
Into the second half, Coonagh went in front again with 25 minutes to go when Jason Travis soared high above the keeper to bravely head home a lovely flighted free-kick from Keith Doran ('Dodo'). Still in front with about seven minutes to go, Coonagh should have closed out the game but let in two sloppy goals to tamely exit the competition. The first came from a rebound off a goalkeeping clearance that the Croom forwards closed down, and the second was a scruffy effort from a corner that the tired Coonagh defence failed to deal with correctly ...

Geraldines 5-2 Ballylanders
Aisling 5 Prospect 2
Aisling went 2 nil up but Prospect came back and levelled the game at 2-2. Prospect had their tails up at this stage and could have went ahead but wasted a couple of chances. Aisling then took their chances and won comfortably in the end .
Corbally won 9-0 so i believe, heard the boro scraped through against cals!!, fairview beat abbey 4 or 5 nil also
still believe we will come good todays game was a disaster from start to finish we didnt have one player who actually played to his ability. missed chance after chance no body to blame for this shambles but our selfs. we cant even use the ref as an excuse. dermot finnan stepped down after this result and ya cant blame him we were that bad myself included. moyross were no great shapes and will go no further in this competion even they will say how did we not score at least 4-5. as they say goals win games not almosts, so even after this disaster the only thing to be said really is the only way is up for us and we will get there yes a very bad start to the season but do not for one min write us off we will reshuffle and regroup. there is too many good players with park for us not too. fair play to moyross.
