Well it loaded, saved and played last night without the CD so I assume I used steam
Kinda wish I'd downloaded by Steam now, an awful hassle to use the cd every time.

Went back to 08 at the weekend. For some reason 09 never really grabbed me.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
Can anyone recomend some decent free players? (All positions)

Is there any way of adding a new league to a country??
i.e. the A-Championship to Irelands League

No you can't add in a new division.
Anybody have any ideas as to why the game just crashes in the middle of a game and exit out of FM09 entirely?
I have FM07 and am thinking of getting this but have a few questions:
(a) If i buy this will i have to download extra programs since SI ****ed it up ?
(b) Would i be better off with FM 08?
(c) How much is this going for at the moment 25 quid ?
I'm sorry but I must be thinking of a different Football Manager series than the one I play. The one I play is finally getting sorted out for all it's bugs and glitches (including being unplayable on the day of purchase/release) a few months after I handed over my cash for a copy of the game. In essence they have used me as a tester of the game but have charged me to do so. The one I play also has hundreds of fanboys that refuse to see any fault in SI as a company, or FM as a series, but you wouldn't know anything about that would you?
I do think it's a shame that SI don't regard a proper test cycle as a priority before a release , it makes buying the game before the first patch has been released a frustrating experience
