    Deccy was a City legend. He deserves City fans respect but he did hang on that bit too long at the end and that would probably be the manager's shout at the end of the day.

    I wasn't at the game so I am in position to comment or pass judgement. People constantly see the worst in the Shed and presume the worst when there are many genuine fans among the crowd there.

    If Deccie played well past his sell by date, it was because the manager kept picking him for the team. Not his fault.

    He may not have been the most skillful passer of the ball ever, but you can't fault his effort and commitment ot CCFC over many years.

    That said, I do hope that he never again lines out for CCFC in a meaningful game.
