Yes - and there is also an official update which augments the above. PES is still a great game imo. Online mode seems to have improved with the new update as well. Sure there are a few negatives but it is still a better game than FIFA for me.

Just got FIFA09 recently IMO PES09 is a far superior game. The only things FIFA has over PES are. It has LOI and more leagues an players than PES and the transfer system in better.

The one thing that really annoyed me about PES is that the transfer system. Its based on points system rather than money, and it almost impossible to sign some players regardless of what club you are. I was playing as Man U and was on a full bar in the super team level, I tried to sign Benzema(several times) and a few other top players but just couldn't despite making maximum bids and maxim wage offers to the clubs some of which were only B team level.

But the opposite seems to be true in FIFA its to easy to sign some big players fo realitevly cheap. And FIFA09's gameplay is often sluggish and falls long short of PES in gameplay.

All in all my marks for both are:
FIFA: 7/10
PES09: 8.5/10

Don't see how you can say that FIFA's game play is average at best. They seem to have used most their money on getting the licences or all the big leagues and players rights, whilst PES used the money on gameplay. But to each their own

Have to agree. Been a PES fan for years but this year FIFA has wiped the floor with PES and i've been a FIFA hater for years

Mainly playing the be a pro mode on FIFA. I like the fact that you play for reserves first before breaking though to 1st Team and the fact that there is more clubs.

But the fact you can improve your skills with exp. points is unrealistic and stupid prefer the more steady way it happens in PES09 though playing well. Also the fact you can start for pretty much any club and the fact you play 90 minutes of every game is very unrealitic. Read on the cover that the Be a Pro mode only last 4 seasons. is this true sound kinda limiting.

In manager mode you earn too much money for small clubs and its to easy to sign players that in real life would never sign for the club. Saying that its sometimes impossible to sign some of the top players in PES
