The UCD Bowl is being shared by by UCD AFC and the UCD Rugby teams. And that is intended to be the situation for the future.
Belfield Park has being identified as a location for the Belfield Innovation Park.

"2005–2010 Short-Term Objectives
Relocate UCD Soccer from Belfield Park to upgraded facilities at Belfield Bowl. Belfield Bowl will be developed by increasing seating capacity to 1,500 and installing floodlighting. This will make Belfield Park available for development as part of Belfield Innovation Park....."

The president of UCD Dr. Hugh Brady won the argument that business and research into Sciences were far more lucrative then having expansive sports fields. So the Sports are in one corner of the Campus, eventually.
I don't know if its guaranteed Belfield Park will be part of the Belfield Innovation Park. There is an outside chance it maybe Student apartments.
