A TOTAL of 728 international caps, £34million (€44million) worth of talent and some of the biggest names in football – that's what will be on view at Dalymount Park next Sunday when an all-star International XI comes to Dublin to pay tribute to Bohemians legend Kevin Hunt.
Kevin Hunt Testimonial Match,
International XI v Bohemians XI
Dalymount Park,
Sunday October 12 2008,
3pm kick-off
The English-born midfielder has just retired from playing after 11 successful seasons as captain of Bohemians, but the Dublin club have honoured their former skipper by handing him a testimonial and a batch of big names have committed to playing at Dalymount Park on Sunday (3pm) when an International XI take on a Bohemians selection, in a game sponsored by Boylesports.com.
Former Celtic stars Alan Thompson, Tommy Johnson and Paul Lambert have today confirmed that they will play as they join modern legends such as Ireland heroes Paul McGrath, Packie Bonner, Kenny Cunningham and Mark Kinsella, along with former Premier League stars like Gary McAllister and Neil Lennon, in paying tribute to Hunt.
Kevin Hunt joined Bohemians from Barnet in December 1998 and captained the team to Premier Division titles in 2000/01 and 2002/03, also winning the FAI Cup in 2000/01 and making 20 appearances in European football. His last appearance in the Bohs shirt was in July 2008, against Bray Wanderers, as he retired from football after that game.

Jimmy Aggrey!
Why does it not mention his transfer value?!
If tickets are going slow you could just advertise that Dean Martin will be singing in the bar after!!
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
Will programmes be available online, or from Dalymount during the week?
Fair play ... good to see this happening.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Brilliant. Hope I can get to this to celebrate a true legend of Irish football....and to think he's English...
..Alan Thompson a celtic legend.
