Just a typo. On the official fixture list for the weekend of Nov 1/2.

Just wondering if UCD have decided when they want to play it.

there's a free week next week and for some clubs free weekends in November.
Some of Group 1 games will have to be played soon, Shamrock Rvs - Drogs and the scheduled Drogs - Shamrock Rovers plus Mervues Utd's. last game to confirm placing in that group.

In group 2 there is less pressure on playing games. Two of the games could be played next week.

They're all dead games now, so they could be left unplayed if all comes to all.

The ones in Group 1 aren't. Mervue aren't secure in the top four for their play-off.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Yes they are. Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda have to play each other and will have to take points off each other. Both of them can't overtake Mervue United.

They can; they've both got three games left and are less than six points behind. Forgot about that bit.

The way TheBoss posted it above, it looked to me like they were the only games left. I didn't realise there was also another round of games as well as those unplayed games..

Not sure what is happening with Drogheda though. They were unable to field a team against Harps last weekend, so what's the story with the rest of their fixtures?

If Mervue won't play the promotion play-off it kinda demeans the whole purpose of the A Championship surely? Who's bottom of the first anyway these days? Kildare? It's pleasant to be experiencing consecutive seasons when I'm not familiar with the back end of the table.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

I didnt mean that mervue wouldnt play the game, they are dead set on playing it and winning it, but they feel that a move into the LOI at this time would damage the club more than anything else as they have no cash at all to go paying semi pro footballers.

More FACTS originating in Limerick. Players get very basic expenses and compensation if they are not able to use a holiday to cover a day off work (though some are still in school)
