it was on the eircom section of this site that these incidents are happening in a few places round the country.
I was talking to a friend of mine the other day. he goes to most of the home games but he wouldnt be up to date on the running of the club. he was telling me that him and his brother went to a match recently but could only make the 2nd half. when he went to the gate, the 'security guy', as he put it, charged him. wats this about? he was certain it was none of the people normally at the gate/turnstiles. he didnt mind paying but wondered was the money going to the club. i thought it was odd too. hope they are not pocketing money at the expense of the club.
im just communicating this and am not accusing anybody or any company. it could have been anyone in a luminous jacket at the gate.

Not being funy lads but if a security guy asked me for money I'd be wary straight away. Why would you give money to anyone other than a vendor??

Never pay a Security guy at the gates. Has anyone brought this to the committee's attention at all?
