Mccauley made his debut for Liverpool 23s midweek . Brewster who is the striker is in the England under 17 squad for the euros was on the bench for Liverpool against crystal palace. Just shows How tough at a club like Liverpool it is to be even the best youth team striker

8 outfield players and the 2 goalies - all irish based --- that looks good, doesn't it?

Isn't it a good shift that they're all with senior Irish clubs as opposed to schoolboy sides?

Id probably leave one of the keepers out and stick 2 more outfield players in just for the first game anyway!!

Agreed. I know they're doing amazing things in Iceland right now but I think, for the time being, we need to be putting out 11 players for Irish teams with only one goalkeeper.

I've heard that Ledwidge is on his way to Southampton, Idah is apparently signed up with Norwich for next season and Tyreik Wright is currently in the process of choosing a team across the water and is in high demand (as Idah was)

When does he become eligible for England through residency? Could he declare for Norn Iron?

He has already played competitively for Ireland (in the qualifiers for this tournament), so he can't become eligible in the future for England.

See article 8 of the Regulations Governing the Application of the Statutes for further info: http://resources.fifa.com/mm/documen...al.pdf#page=73

    8: Change of association

    1.

If a player has more than one nationality, or if a player acquires a new nationality, or if a player is eligible to play for several representative teams due to nationality, he may, only once, request to change the association for which he is eligible to play international matches to the association of another country of which he holds nationality, subject to the following conditions:

    a) He has not played a match (either in full or in part) in an official competition at “A” international level for his current association, and at the time of his first full or partial appearance in an international match in an official competition for his current association, he already had the nationality of the representative team for which he wishes to play.

    ...
    Has he got northern connections?

    Luxury,
Iceland don't even need a goalkeeper when they play Ireland.
