Can someone let John caulfield know that Rovers are spending even more money to win the league, as we've signed Sam Bone from Charlton & Graham Burke from Notts county. If he asks, we have a squad of 183 now, in our relentless pursuit of the league title this year. Not next year mind you.

He can't help himself. Bradley got rid of as many guys as he brought in. Feeling the pressure I reckon.

This has to be his last roll of the dice.

If Caulfield doesn't win the league this year he will spontaneously combust. He's having a go at rovers with 10 kids 19 or under in our squad.......Cork have had zero player turnover compared to dundalk and rovers have virtually a new team.....Cork should be favourites but we will have to wait and see

Perhaps they should be, but Paddy Power disagrees:

    11/10 Dundalk
    11/ 4 Cork City
    4/1 Shamrocks
    14/1 Derry
    20/1 Bray

Caulfield will crack under the pressure. Bradley will either be a great success story or will fall on his sword going with so many youth players. Dundalk to sneak it for me.

It's Cork's title to lose. Rovers will be gone by the end of March with all the geriatrics in the squad.

Irishtimes he said our youth policy had been scrapped and we were spending fortunes to win the league this year.....bizarre stuff clearly trying to give himself excuses.

I'm never quite sure if Caulfield is just playing the media game or if he genuinely believes this stuff, but I'm starting to think it's the latter.

This was the article, whatever the view on what he said, I always thought he spends far too much time talking about other teams. During 2015 he constantly referred to Dundalk as 'an outstanding team', even then I was thinking, why would you be bothered to make those type of remarks?

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

I suppose it depends on the questions you are asked. I'd prefer these comments to boring platitudes. Conversely I think a lot of Dundalk and other teams fans spend way too much time thinking about what John Caulfield says! So do a portion of our fans to be fair, I'm much more concerned with what happens on the pitch personally.

Caulfield merits attention for the comic value alone.

He is not alone though. He hasn't got to Kenny Sheils level yet.

He was hilarious at the AGM tonight anyway. His comments on Shamrock Rovers may be... eh exaggerated for the media shall we say.

I get him referring to Dundalk as the outstanding team because a) it's true and b) he rightly wants his team to aspire to that level.

But a guy whose team are not far off challenging for the title starting niggle with the fourth best team in the league is just a bit weird. It'd make a bit more sense the other way round as Rovers should be trying to close the gap to Cork or better.

I mean, Rovers may well be rubbish this year, we don't know. But it's not going to be because Caulfield has got in Bradley's head.

The trouble with some is that they can't see when they're being wound up.
Caulfield plays the media and judging by some of the posts on here it's worked.
He's in their heads which is exactly what he wants 😆

He has tried to get into Dundalks heads for 3 years and failed!

Dundalk..3 League Titles, 1 FAI Cup 1 League Cup
    Cork.......1 FAI Cup
