Alan Nixon (The Sun) reports that Plymouth Argyle plan to sign Tyreik Wright (Aston Villa, currently on loan at Bradford City) on a permanent deal. Portsmouth had also been interested, and while Robbie Keane is reported to have applied for the Pompey manager job (The News, Portsmouth 8 Jan), Plymouth look the better bet to go up to the Championship.

Olamide Shodipo (25, QPR winger and Republic U-21 cap) has signed on loan for Lincoln City until the end of the season, after 11 Championship appearances this season. (Lincoln City website). Mark Kennedy's influence, perhaps?

Almost five months after joining Stockport, Daniel Okwute goes on loan to seventh-tier side Warrington Rylands - even aged 19, one gets the impression he needs to hit the ground running to then earn a chance at a higher level.

Ooh, that's an interesting one - right after his eighteenth birthday, also, so it looks like they were just waiting for the chance to bring him over. Hopefully they can develop him like they did with Ferguson, Molumby and, yes, Connolly

According to the42, 38 Irish players were involved in transfers this January and, by my count, that included 13 LOI players crossing the Irish Sea: https://www.the42.ie/irish-players-w...83839-Feb2023/

Allnigeriasoccer.com have noted the signing of forward Owen Oseni (Waterford) by Derby County, and the fact that Owen qualifies for Nigeria through his parents. Sonner or later there will be competition between the FAI and the NFF about one of these lads.

Swansea publish their retained squad list, also that Ryan Manning to leave at the end of his contract, and Obafemi will transfer to Burnley, although Burnley have yet to confirm the transfer

I suppose the ones we really want to keep an eye on over the summer are -

Kelleher (seems to finally want a move into regular first-team ball)
Parrott and Cannon (both on loan this season)
Knight and Connell (both in the third tier - Connell may yet be promoted out of it)
Ogbene (can he do better than Rotherham? It's not clear)
Doherty (16 minutes since moving in Jan, both in games that were long over, is a waste of time)

There's others may be linked with a move of course, but I think the above guys would be the ones who we really need to move?
