Wolves fans heaping the praise here... timely rise with Coleman appearing to be struggling at Everton - fans on his back on Saturday, although hopefully a good pre-season after Injury will see him right. https://www.molineuxmix.co.uk/index....-alves.209621/

I know he’s playing as a wing back not a winger but really believe he has the qualities to play there for us. Would like to see Coleman at right full and Doherty at right wing and see how that works. He has an eye for goal and is still technically good — and while Coleman isn’t the player he was he still has a lot to offer in my view.

Well given that he's been able to score goals this season at club level then you would hope he could translate that to international appearances, particularly further forward. Big ask with many variables but it would be great.

Remember how Mick played Duffer up front with/off Robbie as Kilbane was a good option on the left wing so we got both in.

I really hope we don't move either Coleman or Doherty into midfield. If we play 5 in midfield we need creativity and guile in the 2 wide areas the likes of Brady, Robinson,o dowda, mcgeady, judge or Crowley if he comes on board. Someone who is comfotbale taking the ball with their back to goal not just coming forward onto the ball.

If we are playing 2 up top with a diamond type 4 in midfield again those wider 2 need a range of passing and awareness that's wider than an attacking wing back. If we play 5 at back or flat 4 I think he would be a fine option either left or right especially if trust in Stevens is still in it's infancy.

The Guardian are heavy in praise of Doherty's performance in the cup against Bristol City. He seems to attract a lot of praise in the English media for his performances this season and is notoriously one of the key attacking weapons in the Wolves side.

The forms have gone out to clubs and players for the PFA team of the year. Is it good timing for Doherty to be named right back?

I watched the match and he was very, very good. He set up the winning goal and then hit the post a few minutes later with a shot that was deflected. In a Wolves team loaded with talent, he stands out as a key contributor.

Shame Doherty and O Dowda were drawn together, someone had to go out, thought it would be Bristol City Wolves are a very decent side,
only the top teams have beat them recently.
They have a tough draw v Man U though.

Wolves also a tough draw for Man United. Wouldn’t rule out Doherty getting to a Semi Final.

Quite an interesting FA Cup I think, probably Man U's only chance of winning any thing.

There are few more Irish players still involved including a couple at 50-1 Millwall who knocked out Everton.

Would nice to see an Irish player as an FA cup winner but as a united fan I’ll have to root for Man U!

Matt Le Tissier is doing an interesting variation on the pronunciation on Soccer Saturday today. He's strayed away from "Dockerty" to a more acceptable "Dough-erty".
