Dont hold back or anything Marino! All fans have done the 'self importance' things when top of the heap though maybe Rovers retained it when not top of the heap at time.

Your joke of a club with its bought history and ridiculous sense of self importance gives all fans a laugh - cup specialists 😁 really ? Lecturing on fan owned (100 years after Bohs were doing it) before pimping the club out the first chance you got.. pretending you are at the level of Dundalk - delusions of adequacy for a joke club with no history careering towards the next bankruptcy
Your on a good run but your an irelevence in the overall scheme of things apart from your potential to help dundalk win the league due to your results against us (fair dues) but it's not much to hang on to in terms of self worth

This whole 'part time' thing is overplayed imo.
Bohs are able to attract a far better calibre of player than, say, ourselves or Finn Harps by virtue of location.
Sligo Rovers status as 'full time' doesn't mean much in this context although the comparison with Shanrock Rovers is valid. Shams should probably really be beating them out the door every time they meet given resources available and equal availability of quality players. They are higher up the tablee tbough to be fair. Just my opinion.

The bombast from the bohs fans enjoying their 3rd place position in the league is tempting me to start to cheer for the new anchor tennants in north Dublin county council stadium Shelbourne.......maybe not.

The statistics clearly prove the improvement in points gained per game

    2016 - 1.67 points per game
    2017 - 1.64 points per game
    2018 - 1.72 points per game
    2019 - 2.10 points per game

If the rate of improvement continues anything is possible in the seasons ahead

    Good sport bennocelt!

Those were indeed stats that show how Rovers have improved in the area of points won each season since 2017.

The players paid for that themselves. Sure they pay subs each week

James Talbot for example was playing/training for Bohs and then getting up at 5am next day to go work for An Post.

Shamrock Rovers as a club are an embarrassment. From poor management, players lacking in effort/commitment only interested in getting their money every week and the fans hammering the players at the final whistle Friday night the club seems a joke from top to bottom. Rovers mave have money but you can't buy class.

Bohs from the directors to the players and the fans are united and pulling in the right direction. Hopefully that answers ypur question why Bohs are everything that Shamrock Rovers aren't.
Actually no as you didn’t answer the question I asked , anyway good luck with your beliefs as outlined above.

As relevant as shams 😁 keep kidding yourself you are actually challenging.for the title, just like you have for years now. Oh, and the "Cup Specialists" 😁
Maybe you can buy some more history off the FAI, because you sure aren't going to make any.

No sure about Bolger going missing i thought Byrne and him were the only effective 2 in getting things going. Clarke was he even on the pitch in the first half, he was terrified of getting caught out with that little ball in behind which was his undoing in the last game. Has not been the same since the cruicate. Joey O Brien was a huge loss. we have two players who are less comfortable with the ball at their feet ie Lopez and Ethan Boyle it was embarrassing looking at them at times on Friday Night. Was O Brien injured?? or gone to some Wedding. We played some good stuff at times by at this stage its a psychologist we need. Bradley's after match interview ask my swiss. Bohs hats off great stuff and brilliant support.

As much as i hate to admit it your sentiments are spot on.

Long enough around to remember an unbeaten run by Rovers against us of 13 /14 ? games from 1984 until we beat them in the RDS ( and kept beating them there). Probably four years or so. The longer it went on the more the Bohs fans and players expected not to win. Rovers seem to have that mindset now. Glittering array of passing in midfield and then indecision/freezing up/over committing in each penalty area. Would confidently expect Rovers to go on an unbeaten run now until they play us again in 11 weeks.
Karma being what it is, though , I would not be surprised if Rovers beat us in the cup final , killing two hoodoos in one, and Stephen Bradley is the man to do it.

What with Aishleigh Grimes reminiscing at half time about his Mandriou like wonder goal v Rovers in a cup replay in the 70`s and an apparently stirring pre match speech to players from Warren O Hora, visiting back from Brighton, Long and Crolly seem to be able to organise the right psychological uplift for the team for the derby. f only we could do the same v Dundalk and Cork!

Sadly I had to suffer the pain of seeing both goals you refer to above- think the Grimes goal was 1974- that was the season Rovers dispensed with their whole squad aside from Johnny Fulham & Leech and replaced them with a squad of 18 year olds (including Alan O’Neill) . The first game finished 1-1 (Leech) but then we were hammered 4-0 in the replay, Grimes did score a cracker but it wasn’t as good as last Friday’s goal - and I was just as angry then as I was last Friday- the big difference being in 1974 we were the underdogs - but the one constant is that over time each of us will have periods of dominance in derbies so enjoy your current moment in the sun - and when we next best you it will be our turn to brag.

So you don't think getting up at 5am before training/playing matches affects performance or part time players working and playing 3 games in a week might be an issue either.

It's probably a coinidence as well that that the 2 sides with lowest budgets are the bottom 2 and the 2 sides with the biggest budgets are the top 2.

Making me feel old now.Memory playing tricks.Thought it was later than 74. Mitched off school to on a Wednesday afternoon, pre flood lights in Milltown.Could have sworn Johnny Fulham played the whole season for us in 74.Did Mick Leach not go to Waterford the year before.?
Apart from the Grimes goal, my abiding memory of the day is that a few of us Bohs kids started celibrating upstairs on the bus back to town when a well known Rovers fan , and An Poblacht seller outside the GPO, came upstairs, gave us a murderous look, but then quiely said"fair enough" and went back downstairs, to our young relief.

As you say CJ, what goes around comes around.Enough years of grief and humiliation behind me to enjoy the brief bright spells.

Its is indeed fantastic to get that exposure. If only our Association rowed in behind the product.. though there is some satisfaction in getting some publicity irrespective of the contempt the FAI shows the league!

Have to correct you here because Rovers are in the top two....
