I deliberately didn't put that in because the point of this thread initially was that The Star was nonsense and some of their attendances are so wildly inaccurate (both ways) that there's no point putting them in.
I actually went with 2500 as suggested by Pete, but Pat's still seem to sporadically release official attendances, so hopefully we'll get it sooner or later.
I think 3/4 full is a bit high for the stand. I would have thought more than 500 for the Camac though. I was down the shed end of it and while there was loads of room in the first half, it filled up a good bit in the second half when Pats were attacking that end. I would have guessed 700 maybe.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Wexford Youths Home Attendences from Official Site...(missing Longford and both League Cup Ties)
Waterford Utd - 2000
Kildare - 1345
Shels - 1202
Athlone - 820
Average Attendence: 1,341 for those 4 games....

Forza Youths!
Guesstimates for the Longford game would be 600 and approx 250 on Monday for the League Cup game
Approximately 2500 at Dundalk vs. Shelbourne.
Never that many at Shels v Dundalk....
There were about 200 of us? Ridiculous to say that there were 2300 Dundalk fans there
Someone texted me from the match saying there were 800 at it!
I dunno what he was drinking that made him see half rather than double but I thought it sounded way too small!
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
There wasn't 2,500 at it anyway. Wage cap and all that.
For the Limerick v Shels game I was on the opposite side of the ground to the main stand. Shortly before half time I gave a rough count of those in the main stand and got just over 100. I don't really care what the figure was but I know a big laugh went up as it was read out,, followed by loads of people shaking their heads.
On the Dundalk Shels gate I would have thought 1500 to 2000 max!
John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

Judging the crowd in oriel from the away end can be difficult. For a start you cant see into the stand which holds 1,300, Im told it was 3/4 full last night, the shed side usually gets around 800, and im guessing the away support was around 200, so maybe 2,000 is a more accurate figure ?
Anyway great win for shels, shocking result for us.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
