Whats that comin' over the hill
It's the Monster,
The Cookie Monster!
On ther website it is saying that Tommy Arcaba (elbow surgery last Friday)is OUT!!
All other players are fit.
Who comes in as cover for our cover in goals?
keith noone will be sub keeper. he would have been on the bench last week but he got sick day b4 the game. no roy, o'flynn or gamble=3 points for rovers at 4/1
with those 3 players out for cork we should definitely be more confident about getting at least a point, if not all 3!i know they havent been beaten at home for ages but records are there to be broken
Roy and Gamble should play alright, Be surprised if they dont
Yeah a back problem but was rested for the last 2 games so should hopefully but alright.
Id say Roy will at least be on the bench. Itd be ridiculous not to play him. The transfer window has a month left to go and this could drag out quite a bit. We cant leave him sit out every game because of it
Gamble wont be playing actually. Just read it on the site
Rogue Trader i'm disappointed you won't be there tonight, I was hoping you'd entertain me like ya did last time in TC![]()
"he tries his best.... but I was a proper player".
Match preview.
Cork City manager Damien Richardson admits his side must restore lost pride when they take on Sligo Rovers at Turners Cross on Friday night.
The Leesiders fell to a 4-1 defeat at the Showgrounds earlier in the season, the victim of one of several fine performances from Rovers this season.
Cork go into this game in fifth place, two points better off than Sligo with two games in hand on the Bit O’Red, and Richardson knows his side must take all three points.
He said: “Sligo handed us our heaviest defeat of the season so far in the Showgrounds, and there is only one way to get over that.
"For the sake of our personal pride, and for the three points on offer, it is important that we turn in a good performance and get the win we need.”
Key midfielder Joe Gamble and likely replacement Darren Murphy are both sidelined as a result of ankle injuries picked up against St Patrick’s Athletic last week.
Defenders Billy Woods and Darragh Ryan and striker John O’Flynn will all undergo late fitness tests on various ailments.
Sligo, for their part, work off a similar squad as that which ended Shamrock Rovers’ winning sequence seven days ago.
New Australian signings James Meredith and Matthew Gordon could also be in line for their debuts at some stage.

SLIGO ROVERS FOOTBALL CLUB
we should look at this tie with no fearno matter who's fit for cork - if we relax and play football when we get the ball and work hard when we dont we have as good a shout as anyone.....keep it on the floor lads, except for emergency clearances of course!
My team
--------Brush---------
Coleman Peers McKenzie Ventre
Raf ----O'Grady ----Hughes---Boyd
Faz-------Judge
Subs -Noone Cash Meredith Curran Gordon
Fair enough but I think that Cash would have more impact as a sub compared to Raf and ddidnt Boyd play left side midfield against Shams ?
Paddy Power haven't a clue about our squad. Creane is 7-2 to score even though I'd say Hughes would more chance of scoring yet he's 4-1. Glen McCormack is also 4-1, yet Coleman is 14-1.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Jason McCartney was 14-1 to score against Shams last week.
Blame JC_GUFC from here he does the Irish football for Paddy Powers! But long may his ignorance last![]()
in cork now. noone wont be in the squad, we're tking the risk i think he didnt travel again. neither did creane.
