you deserved to win, no doubt. we couldnt finish some easy chances, your lot scored some rather fortunate goals. we will improve as the season goes on though, especially if we can get some creativity into the midfield soon.

Which means that Pats are getting excited about taking advantage of an unsettled defence. You'll come up against plenty teams who can defend this season. Then you'll see how limited you are. Some of you lads are old enough to know better. I'm surprised that you're getting so carried away.
You're sounding like Rovers fans with all the history recitals and we all know what happened to them...

LOL. Firstly no one is claiming pats are title contenders. Secondly I said sustained pressure. We had more chances than you, and you were at home. We also won 3-1 BTW

your lot scored some rather fortunate goals
nothing fortunate about them at all. Just quality play

Must be why trying to sign the Longford rejects. Soon the team will be half Longford & half Waterford players.

Hey add least we are adding to our squad not letting people go for a little bit of money to pay are crocked former internationls who in the Past 4 years have done nothing.

Oh and maybe you would of played better if you done proper pre - season. Whats that all about.

Which would indicate that for some reason Rico views this as a glorified pre-season. Makes no sense but thats what he does. Did it last year and the year before as well

Well a team that was half Waterford players would probably still beat Cork - just like the team that was 100% Waterford players did 4 days ago.....

We were ****e but honestly didnt think Pats were up to too much either.

They deserved the win alright but more because we were completely toothless than anything else imo.

Ndo looked dangerous but I lost count of the amount of stray passes he played. Kirby was good but midfield never really got in control of possession.
    No world beaters anyway.
Again thoguht they were full value for the win as we were rubbish

Well I'm sure your board would be very happy with the prize money so maybe they should have related their feelings to the manager. If he's not taking this competition seriously he's a bigger clown than I thought.

Lads, it's perfectly understandable why Cork deliberately set out to play badly in the Setanta. Steve Coppell has shown that he doesn't care about winning knockout tournaments so he isn't interested in players with cup experience.

It was in fact Liam Brady in attendance last night, our lads didn't exactly shine .
A few Pats players may have caught the eye though, be careful.

Liam Brady, Craig Levein (Dundee Utd) and Tony Pulis (Stoke) apparently.

Craig Levine was also there looking at O'Donavan, but was more impressed with kirby and pats in general as was overheard saying "its a pity i didnt see him when he was 19 not 29.."
