It surprises me every time to see just how much of a short arse Zelensky is.

    I'm a towering 5'8" myself

there's not a chance he is even 5'6" if you ask me... Macron is supposed to be 5'7" and Starmer is 5'8"...despite what the internet says, i'd go with 5'4" max...

At an outrageous 5' 11'' I could be in the running for president. Has a Miggeldy, Zelensky meeting happened?

Isn’t it very unusual that, for a country lauded for its culture and heritage, Ireland only has 2 UNESCO sites on the list? If you include Northern Ireland it brings it to 4 on the island.

Armenia game has really knocked the stuffing out of the Ireland forum. The deep depression has fully set in.

Yeah, there's a feeling of it, isn't there?

I was going to put a couple of posts about our guys in weekend action but even that's just depressing. Bazunu and Idah getting their usual stick, nobody really standing out

The Portugal buildup will spark a bit of life, but I suspect the fallout will be worse...

Set in and wedged solid if feels like. My own theory is, a good many saw a need for change of ways and what Kenny said resonated with them, the diminishing returns of the old ways pointed to the need for an altered approach. Some disagreed as strongly as they could. His replacement, HH, his words resonated with those people ( broadly speaking ) organised, hard to beat, play to our strengths, more pragmatism over idealism. And both have ultimately amounted to the same, down at the first fence when it mattered in a qualifying situation V a minnow, or what we perceive to be a minnow. So we collectively find ourselves with nothing more to say, not enough to even fight with each other anymore.

I don't really have an issue with either approach. I just want to feel like the team is more than the sum of its parts, and for all the stick he got, the Return of the Mc(Carthy) was the last time I felt that for any length of time.

Sunday, September 21, 6.14pm… last post in the Ireland thread, Friday 19 at 8.14pm – 46 hours ago, after a full weekend of English and Scottish football, not to mention sundry diversions from Portugal to Turkey. That has to be a record, surely?

My dog passed away yesterday. She was 16 and a half, and had a great life. But it’s heartbreaking.

Yeah it’s very tough. Had a dog that was 16 that died three years ago, still have two but one hasn’t that long left unfortunately.

Sorry to hear. It's never an easy experience to go through. They really become part of the furniture and the family.

Heartbreaking is right. Our little fella is pushing 15 now, has lost his hearing and his eyesight is going and even though he is still lively and mobile it is really hard even just watching him age. He just had this amazing personality and is a real pleaser, y'know...enjoyed being a good boy. I dont know how the wife and I will handle it when he goes. He's our kid.

Was told earlier my friend's partner had a minor heart attack this week. Three years younger than me, lost a load of weight in the last few years, walks their dog every day
