What’s the Bohs figure if you replace the Aviva attendance with a sold out Dalymount for the rovers game?

Just checking source for the Derry figure? Seems a bit low.

3,190 saw the crazy red card. Irish times report.
You might as wel lask what would the Pat's figure be if you took away the highest home crowd?
When is a crowd not a crowd?
Will Galway Utd figures in Pearse stadiumhave to be discounted in future averages?
Also Rovers women's team will be playing their home semi outside Tallght, better discount that too.
Utter nonsense .
Ah in fairness it's a legit question - the Lansdowne game was such an outlier that it's entirely fair to see what the average for Dalymount is. And it's up slightly on previous seasons, which is good.
And it would be equally legit to see what impact moving to Pearse has on Galway's attendances if that comes to pass.
All it really tells you is that the demand for Bohs tickets hasn't dropped below capacity, which in itself is good I suppose. Dalymount's home capacity of less than 4k is restricting us from knowing what our "true" demand is. Our home crowds in Dalymount can't increase without ground development, they've been sold out for 4 years now. The only real wriggle room is in away crowds.
Granted a non Bohs fan wouldn't necessarily know that. It's frustrating to not know what our level is. Would demand drop if it wasn't sold out every week... maybe? Would demand still be higher than current capacity... seems likely but can't say definitively. Oddly, the 6k+ figure seems about right to me for where we'd be in a more suitable sized ground but that's just a man guessing on the internet. You want a ground big enough to sell out for big games but be able to handle fluctuations and not feel empty.
The extent of the interest in Bohs has flummoxed me a bit. The only thing our "Dalymount average" (from a home crowd perspective) tells you is that we're still restricted from knowing what the average number of people who want to go to Bohs matches across a season is. It's a poor metric unfortunately, doesn't tell you much.
Wow, wasn’t expecting a wound up response like this one off the back of a simple questionIf for arguments sake Pats against Shels had’ve been in the Aviva on the opening day of the season I’d have asked Nigel what the Pats average attendance was if you replace the Aviva crowd with a sold out Richmond too given I wanted to know the average of the regular home league games rather than including the one off game in a stadium with over 10x capacity which a load of neutrals attended. Hope you can accept that ‘utter nonsense’

Mad to think that the worst average crowd in the PD is 2,300 (and for the cup holders). Not too long ago that would've been the best average crowd in a season, not the worst.
I'd like to personally thank the FAI for creating the conditions for this unparalleled growth in the appeal of the league.

Give me abreak, it was a question you knew the answer to, whether its a wind up question or not? mmm.
Capacity 4, 400, average based on what % of 400 away fans turn up.
That the adjusted figure brings it below the Pat's average , is presumably the reason for asking that the adjusted lower stat be put on the record.
Not that any of this petty nonsense matters. If LOI was not a mostly urban working class sport we would have 2/3 stadia in Dublin with 8k capacity each.
If we had 50% of what is invested annually in the failing ' sport" of greyhound racing, we also might actually be producing functioning mid level Intenational players.
Off topic, rant over.
Sweet mother of jaysus that’s some pretty sensational insecurity there from yourself but believe it or not, I did not know what the Bohs average attendance this year was when amending that fixture which is why I asked, and no my question was not related to the figure bringing it below Pats average which you have mentioned. Good to see Bohs crowds have held up this year including during the bad form at the start of the season. When Dalymount is redeveloped to the higher capacity I expect Bohs to challenge rovers average attendances, let alone Pats'. Hope everything is ok at home DR

Must admit, when I saw the initial question raised, part of me did say to myself, cracking attempt at a wind up there grommet.
All in all it is a fair question to ask, as the landsdowne game was clearly an outlier.
There is a good product there for boez to build a strong LOI club who competes at league and europe level, but it surely hangs on ground development- as ageing Rovers fan ,I know this is never "over-the-line" untill your actually standing there watching your team run out in a shiny new structure.
For the sake of me actually getting to be able to watch a ***"in Rovers -boez match in dalymount in about 6 years I hope it gets done.
Be interesting to see what the away allocation will be. The demand for the Dublin clubs will still outweigh the supply if it’s just 10% of total capacity. I don’t know a huge amount about the access points and stand layouts though other than the concept sketches, so maybe access will be the deciding factor and for example it could be an entire stand behind a goal that has over 10% capacity. Either way, should be good visiting a ‘new’ LOI ground and I hope it gets done sooner rather than later, as with all club’s that have new stadium aspirations
