James McManus on loan to Sligo. Pretty good deal for all parties- hopefully he's playing ever minute and returns to us like Cian Byrne.
Think Byrne will be staring at CB with Cornwall. Flores back to LB.
I don't know if I'd call that bitter though. And I've no problems acknowledging that Drogheda are almost certainly playing a bit of the béal bocht alright.

Agreed on both counts. Bucko getting minutes ahead of McManus is giving a whiff of farewell tour for Bucko and I don't think that's going to change any time soon so better to let McManus get minutes under his belt. Then Kavanagh just has too many mistakes you wouldn't expect an u20s player to make and Lacey is just on the treatment table all season. The place is there for Byrne to win. In saying that I though Morahan played very well at CB vs Rovers but I want to see him in midfield again with Devoy and Tierney or Clarke
Apparently James Clarke is heading to Grimsby - he's out of contract in November so maybe a case of Bohs getting whatever they can for him.
I'd rather we got nothing for him at the end of the season than let him go now. Have to think it'd only be a nominal fee now anyway.
Paul McMullan leaves Derry. I always liked him. Always put a shift in, even if there wasn't always a great deal of end product.

Fair comment but the problem is you are letting a provan asset go to bring in a couple that may or may not work out.
That being said if the one of the replacements was for a provan LOI player like DJT who could play as an out an out 9 as opposed to Clarke in a false 9 it would make sense.
Declan McDaid following JR Wilson to Dundalk it seems. Kilduff also said they won't be signing McGlade. I'd have been shocked if that one had happened
Norwich City seem to have lined up several summer signings for their development squad, including Derry City's teenager, Glenn McCourt (nephew of ex-Celtic winger Paddy McCourt).

Apparently Bogs have an announcement coming at 11.00am tomorrow. I hope it's a striker who can convert 20% of chances so we can win 4-0
Agree Clarke is one of our best players. I don't think he's so significant that he makes or breaks Europe for us. We've created chances all season and need someone to convert them, Clarke is a lot of things and my favourite current Bohs player but he's not a prolific goal scorer which we need. I also think you get more than 10k for him. That release clause that Dyer had was shocking and I'd be a bit disappointed in it if I was a Galway fan. There wasn't even a provision that a team in the league couldn't activate it, hence Derry's interest so I don't think it can be used as a basis for any other fees. I think realistic for Clarke is about between 15 and 25 Grand right now.
Yeah I heard he's already got himself back into shape but he's never been consistent.
