Can only speak to Friday which was 3/4 seated with young Ultra types standing in one section. Looks weird seeing people sitting in a safe standing area, makes it look empty.

Issues with seat installation means can't be officially used for standing this season. All seats need removed and reattached before H&S will approve safe standing. They installed the seats by bolting onto the horizontal part of concrete meaning a trip hazard when the seats are raised. They need attached to the vertical concrete to resolve. Therefore Brandywell capacity about 5,200 this season growing to 6,300 next season.

Seems like the installation was behind schedule, how did this seat arrangement pass H & S!

Did the installers get it wrong, or the designers of the seats? Either way - it sounds like someone has screwed up badly there.

Yeah thats a pretty basic error, the rise is where fittings are attached unless they are recessed or bored at each end, as a general thing!? Like having to step over every door frame basic. If it was an installation error rather than an architect blunder i'd be looking at loss of income on reduced capacity.

Can't see that going very far considering the biggest crowd they’ve had this season is still 1,000 off the reduced capacity

Projections for a jump in attendances when safe standing was due to open could be argued, novelty factor or something. It could be done. May not be worth it but the installation company deserve it unless it was an architect error on the plans and that should have been spotted. Again, in the grand scheme of things its not major but it is such silly stuff like this that delays all sorts of projects and costs money often to the taxpayer. Extension to the community school in Balbriggan yeas back was delayed for months cause the standard size door frames were the wrong size. Then the doors themselves were not fire doors so all had to be replaced, days before opening - just daft stuff and the bigger the project the bigger the problem caused like with NCH.

6207 was the number that I think Con Murphy announced for the Shams Galway match last night.

Cork's on-field problems seem to be hitting their crowds hard now.

You'd have to hope that their feet are better on the dancefloor than they are on the pitch anyway

Bray seem to be averaging a steady 1,000+, I suppose the current form and recent results plus the bar facilities now available inside the ground has helped!

Is there many Cabinteely fans following the club now or has that connections been erased?
