Treaty defended manfully but it was a 2-1 hammering really,Treaty brought it to extra time late but it wasn’t to be….

Decent performance from Treaty - all they could really do was defend in depth and still hope to be in with a chance in the last 10 minutes, and they managed that. Once Treaty pushed forward any bit there were gaps at the back and Derry could have had a couple more in the final few minutes.

Early on it looked like it could have been a 5 or 6 goal drubbing, which would left a bad taste in the mouth even if defeat was expected, but this was a solid enough performance, and a respectable result.

Hopefully we’ll survive their second half onslaught unlike we did last week.

They don’t have a Gaffney after all.

Very dull game at the RSC overall. It started ok but 2nd half has been uneventful.

Only Duff could try to make the point of 'little old Shels' being massive underdogs when they are the Premier team against a First Divison side.

Some 5,000 at RSC and 3,700 official capacity sell-out in Derry.

Disappointing day for Waterford who never got going against an organised and hard working Shelbourne team. Shels were well on top in 1st half and could have been more than 1 0 up at half time. Waterford had lots of the ball in 2nd half but couldn't create a clear chance and Shels defended well and were content to hold on to 1-0. The heavy rain and wind didn't help the game flow.
Waterford can still look forward to play offs with some confidence as are the form team in the 1st division.

Is that all the Brandywell holds ? Would have thought it was more.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

3.7k seats, and they just recently started selling 300 odd standing tickets.

The redevelopment is only half finished. The plan is to treble the size of the new stand. Not holding my breath on that.
All but two games this year have sold out. Next year is going to be mad for season tickets (2.7k this year). We could really do with a temporary solution to expand capacity.

Surely at this stage, the council should just look at more cost effective ways of finishing the ground rather than waiting on money from Stormont?

You're not wrong, it'll never happen though.

But maybe you're better placed to give some advice on waiting for a stadium to be finished, rather than finishing one quickly

The Treaty United Blue Army celebrating defeat in the Brandywell on Sunday was embarrassing. Bring back Limerick FC.

Fans applaud their underdog team putting in a creditable performance in defeat against a far superior opposition?

I've clapped Limerick FC off the pitch on many occasions after such performances, as have fans of every other team.

Precisely what Harps are setting out to do, having done the long waiting game up until now, which is sort of the point I'm getting at.

In a year or so, we'll have the only fully enclosed four sided stadium in the LOI, which is down to a change of tactic like I suggested.

I genuinely believe it'll be a blueprint for more clubs here to follow in the coming years.

Is this a joke or tongue in cheek?

Not from Limerick, but surprised that Limerick FC have kept going (until recently), and are at least publically trying to be reinstated into the LOI.

Did all the fans migrate to Treaty, or was there a split? Have some stayed loyal to the old Limerick FC? Someone must have if they kept the underage teams going.

It looks like Continuity Limerick managed to keep at least one supporter anyway.

Clapping your team off in defeat is one thing but the blue/red army or whatever they are now nearly lifted the roof off the Brandywell when the team approached them afterwards. Even the players looked bemused.
