Rovers moved into 2nd after Cork imploded last year.

We won 4 of our first 5 games this season before Covid. Wouldn't say that's on the slide.

Even now if it was a 36 game season we'd catch Rovers.

Enjoy yourself though, it'll be at least a decade since your last real title, and what is it, 3 titles in 33 years, so even this sham title is obviously a big deal to Rovers.
Keep up the bitterness please it's Great to see.
I think I'll screenshot one of these and use for my phone wallpaper, bring a random smile at any point in the day . In two games time we could be 2 points clear no one is calling this yet. Next two games are massive. Like I said imagine if we do win , it will be an explosion of lemons...

Ye were already 3 points behind Rovers at that stage.

European form is a good guide when league opposition is as crap as UCD and Harps, and in that regard Perth's Dundalk were clearly going backwards.

And the sure sign of LoI success of course is that the graduates were swapping Dundalk for Rovers.

You can think Dundalk would have caught up over 36 games, but you can't remotely say it as fact, especially given yizzer form since the break.

Maybe Rovers won't win a title for another ten years, but will the near-bankrupt club with the senile Yank in charge stop them?

if nobody cares why are you taking time to comment about it?

why is it a devalued title just cause there are less games, every club had the same amount of games so it does't make a difference if it was a 36 or 9 game league.

I'm not a Shamrock Rovers fans but the sour grapes in your posting are unreral

3 points with 31 games to play, having lost 3-2 to them to a late goal on their own patch.

    Come on now!

We can,at least agree on one thing.
We both want Bradley to stay in the job for the foreseeable future.

It's amusing to see the usual suspects start their lap of honour early - and some even claiming being inspired by bitterness!!

It reminds me of some St Pats fans claiming how their team were inspired by the 'We are the Champions' singing in Oriel Park after the 2-1 home win in June 2013.

Maybe a long celebration is appropriate for a short season title win

Actually celebrating early is exactly what I am saying I am not doing ,, in fact I've made the point that with our next two games against a flying Waterford and a trip to oriel an 8 point lead could be down to 2 very quickly.

Yup. Hardly conclusive evidence for you to say that ye were certainties to win a 36 game season, is it?

Or if you're saying that's not evidence enough for a slide, then you've left out a good chunk of my argument.

Logical debating was never your strong point, was it?

I'm hardly on a lap of honour with three points separating the top 5, and a match this week against a side who've already beaten us 5-1

Some Dundalk fans are embarrassing. 18 games will decide the League Champions. Crying like teenagers saying it's not a proper league is nonsense. Take the defeat like a man and look towards winning the title back

    Well said on both counts,
I don't see Peak6 throwing their hat at it on the basis of not winning the league (if that is what happens) they hardly expected to win the league every season forever.
Bill comes across as a bit of a loon but there are proper people involved in Peak6 and they just invested in Northern Ireland.

Whether they invest to the same level in the squad is a question depending on what European trophy they are going for.
Even if they did pull out they are hardly just going to walk away without at least trying to offload the club for a fee and having it on its knees doesn't help that process

Yes, I've seen the club's accounts recently. They're here on the Dundalk website in fact, and were in the news at the time because the loss for 2019 was €1.25m, and euro cash left was €625k

Extrapolate forward one year, with no gate receipts, and it's not a healthy position at all.

Just getting a chance to reflect on the weekends action and I've never been more disappointed to have an unbeaten league season against Derry. That's two draws that should have been two wins.

A disappointing week for Harps all in, really. Threw away points in Sligo and really should have won that game yesterday. What could have been four, or potentially six points, turns into one.

It's nice to be off the bottom of the table, but I can't help but feel that a lack of clinical finishing is really costing us a place higher up the table. Stephen Folan and Dave Webster were superb at the back against Derry.

Two massive games for us coming up against Shelbourne and Cork that could well define the season for us.

It'd be an alternative reality if Dundalk fans werent grumbling! There is something to be said for showing dignity in adversity but i'd be worried if sniping had ceased...

So you consider yourself one of "the usual suspects"?

Perhaps your penchant for Rovers, combined with your fixation with on own logic makes you one of the more unusual suspects
