Heard Town A won 3-0 well done to them and hard luck to the B-Team, any reports on the game.

Well done to Nenagh Town - after a year that didn't look to be going their way at one stage. Between the A team and the u-18 team they are going to have a fine haul of trophies.

Pitch was in phenomenal condition for the tipp cup final, makes a laugh of north tipp playing finals anywhere else. Great to see the teams doing the prematch handshake routine, possibly could be introduced before every game. Was there any reason they didn't do it before the league decider?

I think the prematch handshake is nonsense, if lads want to shake hands before thats fine but if they dont thats fine to. Do you mean lining up before hand and every player walking along the line shaking hands?

Yeah because of all the **** that went on in the Town v Celtic, town thought it would be appropriate with the occasion of the match to shake hands but the clough management said something like 'its not our problem' and refused.... Which was only added on ammunition for the town players for that game. Bad form I thought when I heard

Ya I think it would be good for the game, try get players to show each other a small bit of respect. First time I saw it wa the MJC final last year, thought it was tasteful

Would have been nice in the league decider game too, given there was such a crowd at it, gives the game a good image

Ya in theory its a good idea but you cant force respect, 1 issue could arise if you make it a regular thing lads could refuse to shake hands out on the field which wouldnt be good for the image of the game and would become a stupid talking point in the build up to games, in my opinion a handshake after the game means alot more

The handshake after the match is the most pretentious thing I've ever seen, there's nothing worse than some ***** trying to break your leg in a game and then getting his back up if you refuse to shake his hand after. We've all had that clown that you know doesn't like ya, mouthing off about ya in the pub after and up to ya after the game with the paw out, nonsense

Listen panda im not looking for an arguement with you but i cant really see where your going with this, if you would be against shaking hands with that sort of fellow after a game why would you want to shake hands with him before the game. I think at the end of the day if lads want to shake hands they will and if they dont then its no big deal.

Yeah we all ( Players and managment ) agreed not to do it , didnt think it was an issue really .. It wasnt to disrespect town , it was us not really seeing the point in doing it , seeing as we didnt do it for any other league game all season . Everyone shook hands at the end like always ..
I think we were asked wud we do it by some of the leagues represenitives before the game .. They said it would look good for the league or whatever .. If they were that worried about our league looking good and organised they would have an oscar trainer setup ages ago ..

Does anyone else think the 1st July is very early to have affiliation forms back in?

Yes, very early, although i can understand the why another week wouldnt have hurt the leagues ambitions to get everything kicked off early.

I hear Roscrea Town and Portumna are to have teams this year. I hadn't thought of Portumna as part of my North Tipp Superleague but they could be a good addition.
