Two good signings for Cork in the last week. Two players I wouldn't have minded seeing with ourselves.
I expect the Sligo manager will bring in a few players from England, but where will St Pats get their players from ? not Bohs again Two good signings for Cork, both non-Dubs so no danger of them being homesick.
Any Rovers fans know what the story with Aaron Greene is? Supposedly going to be our next signing.
We've dropped Bohs as our feeder club and have replaced them with Shels, Dawson, Conan Byrne and Cassidy all rumoured to be coming to us.

Oh and Keith Fahey is back in Ireland.....
Here on a technicality.
That has the makings of a good squad - and your man to bang the drum.

LOI section on balls.ie - http://balls.ie/league-of-ireland/
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
I've done the ACL and it's a horribly unpredictable injury. One thing that is certain is there's not a hope you'd be back on the field 5/6 months after the op without incident. You need to build it up and all going well you'd be back 8/9 months on, but it will more than likely take another 8/9 moths before you're 100%, if you ever get there.

Important for Pats that they hold on to Russell and Barry Murphy, them two along with the others mentioned by Partysaint above will give them a strong squad. Most of the senior players in the LOI find european football a burden as Pats fans will tell you. A player needs to be really determind to make it in England as it is much more competitive and those who wants to be close to their family in Dublin are more suited to the part-time fare of the LOI. Good luck to McDaid if he goes over, I see Bocco is doing ok at Accrington.
Sligo have held talks with Davy McDaid.

Would make any Harps fan sick to their stomach. McDaid never put in a tap of effort in Finn Park and was ultimately one of the worst players to have played for Harps in recent years.
McLaughlin on the other hand, I really hope succeeds as a top class footballer. Cracking player with a great attitude to the game. On the other side of the card, he's one of the best players to come through Finn Park in recent years.

Is it just me or do clubs in Ireland seem to rotate the same faces season to season, club to club. Only saying having read through the Pats list and there are a number who'd been at SFFC who've ended up (after detours) again with Bucko. A little concerned about Rovers, I know it was obvious that if TC got the job the Board were going to throw money at him to try win the league, but they are recycling the same bodies and not looking outside the closed circle for some quality. Makes Keano at Sunderland and Ipswich look positively cosmopolitan!
